II. Importance of Unity

 Biblical perspective

Ephesians 4:3 - "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace."

Ephesians 4:11-13

11And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

12for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,

13till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

1 Corinthians 1:9-10

9God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.

10 I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree together, so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be united in mind and conviction.

III. Kingdom of God

   Nature of the Kingdom

      1. Matthew 6:33 - "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

      2. Luke 17:21 - "The kingdom of God is in the midst of you."

IV. Unity in the Kingdom of God

 Call for unity

      1. Colossians 3:14 - "And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity."

      2. Romans 15:5-6 - "May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."

KBM is an Instrument in breaking the Barriers of Unity

  1. Theological Preferences

  2. Spiritual Immaturity - carnality

  3. Denominational Distinctiveness and Practices - Matt 23. Avoid the Leaven of the Pharisees

    1. Trap of Eliteism

    2. Trap of Extra-Biblical Requirements

    3. Trap of  Entitlement

Managing Our Differences

  1. Recognize each other’s specific call

  2. Respect each other’s giftings and anointing

  3. Practicing the ‘One Another’ Ministry

  4. Finding our Common Ground for Unity. In KBM, Business As Ministry.

V. Practical Applications

   A. Unity in diversity

      1. 1 Corinthians 12:12 - "Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ."

   B. Love and forgiveness

      1. Colossians 3:13 - "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."

VI. Conclusion

   A. Recap of key points

   B. Encouragement for believers to strive for unity in the Kingdom of God.
