Part 3 - Sharing with Life Groups

New Creation Realities -  A Bible Study

This Bible study will guide you through understanding and applying the New Creation Realities that come with being born into the Kingdom of God and living with Christ in you. As we explore the key elements of this transformation, we will focus on how to live out the new identity, victory, and purpose that Christ has given us.

1. Recognizing Your New Identity in Christ

The first step in living out the New Creation Reality is understanding your new identity in Christ. When you are born again, you are no longer defined by your past or by the world but by your relationship with Christ.

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

  • Discussion Question: How does understanding that you are a new creation change the way you view yourself and your past?
  • Application: When negative thoughts or condemnation arise, declare your identity as a new creation in Christ. Use this scripture to renew your mind and live from your new identity.

2. Living with Christ as Your Source of Life

Your new life is not sustained by your own efforts but by Christ living in you. We must daily surrender our will and desires to Christ, allowing His life to flow through us.

Scripture: Galatians 2:20 (KJV)
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

  • Discussion Question: What does it mean to live by faith in the Son of God rather than relying on your own strength?
  • Application: Begin each day by committing it to Christ, asking Him to live through you in every situation.

3. Renewing Your Mind and Walking in the Spirit

As a new creation, you are no longer to live according to the patterns of the world but must renew your mind to align with God’s Word. The Holy Spirit helps you to think and live in a way that pleases God.

Scripture: Romans 12:2 (KJV)
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Scripture: Romans 8:5 (KJV)
“For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.”

  • Discussion Question: How can you practically renew your mind each day and live according to the Spirit?
  • Application: Make a habit of reading, memorizing, and meditating on scripture. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts and actions throughout the day.

4. Walking in Freedom from Sin

As a new creation, you have been freed from the power of sin. You are no longer a slave to sin but are empowered to live a righteous and holy life through Christ.

Scripture: Romans 6:6-7 (KJV)
“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.”

  • Discussion Question: How does knowing that your old self is crucified with Christ impact how you deal with temptation and sin?
  • Application: When faced with temptation, declare your freedom from sin in Christ. Pray for the strength to resist and rely on the Holy Spirit’s power to overcome.

5. Relying on the Holy Spirit’s Guidance

The Holy Spirit is the key to living out the new creation. He leads, empowers, and teaches you how to live in alignment with God’s will.

Scripture: Romans 8:14 (KJV)
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

Scripture: John 14:26 (KJV)
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

  • Discussion Question: In what ways can you allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you in your daily life?
  • Application: Spend time in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit for guidance. Develop a sensitivity to His voice and promptings, and be quick to obey.

6. Reflecting Christ’s Character

Part of being a new creation is becoming more like Christ. As you walk with Him, you should grow in reflecting His character—love, patience, kindness, humility, and holiness.

Scripture: Ephesians 4:24 (KJV)
“And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV)
“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

  • Discussion Question: How can you practically reflect the character of Christ in your relationships and daily interactions?
  • Application: Make it a daily goal to reflect one of Christ’s attributes in your interactions with others. For example, choose to show love, patience, or humility in difficult situations.

7. Exercising Your Authority in Christ

As a new creation, you have been given authority over the enemy and spiritual forces that oppose God’s purpose in your life. You no longer have to live in fear or defeat but can walk in victory through Christ.

Scripture: Luke 10:19 (KJV)
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Scripture: Ephesians 6:10-11 (KJV)
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

  • Discussion Question: How can you stand firm in the authority that Christ has given you over the enemy?
  • Application: When spiritual opposition arises, use the Word of God and the authority of Jesus’ name to stand firm. Declare victory over fear, doubt, and temptation.

8. Living with Hope and Expectation of Eternity

As a new creation, your life is not just about the here and now but is also shaped by the hope of eternal life with God. This perspective influences how you live today.

Scripture: Colossians 3:1-2 (KJV)
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”

Scripture: 1 Peter 1:3-4 (KJV)
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.”

  • Discussion Question: How can an eternal perspective change the way you approach your daily life and decisions?
  • Application: In moments of discouragement or challenge, remind yourself of the eternal hope you have in Christ. Make decisions that align with eternal values rather than temporary desires.

9. Sharing the New Creation Message

As part of the new creation, you are called to share this message with others. The transformation you’ve experienced is meant to be shared, inviting others to experience the same new life in Christ.

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:20 (KJV)
“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.”

Scripture: Matthew 28:19 (KJV)
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”

  • Discussion Question: How can you be intentional about sharing your faith and the message of the new creation with others?
  • Application: Look for opportunities to share your testimony and the gospel with others. Ask God to open doors for conversations and lead you to those who need to hear the message of new life in Christ.

Conclusion

Living in the New Creation Realities involves recognizing your new identity in Christ, allowing Him to live through you, and walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. As you embrace these truths, your life will increasingly reflect the character of Christ, and you will experience the freedom, authority, and hope that come with being a new creation.

This Bible study invites you to apply these principles daily, trusting God to continue transforming you from glory to glory.

    ‎My own reflection

‎In my own understanding po tungkol sa New Creation Realities, parang nag-open ng eyes ko. It's not just about going to church every Sunday, but really understanding na iba na ako dahil kay Cristo. I'm not defined by my past mistakes or what other people say about me, kundi kung sino ako kay Cristo. For example, dati pag nagkakamali ako, feeling ko wala na akong pag-asa. Pero ngayon, I remember na new creation na ako, so I can try again. One thing na nag-stick sa akin is yung living with Christ as my source. Like, pag may problema, I pray for help instead of panicking.

‎This study made me realize na I have authority in Christ. I can stand firm and declare victory dahil kay Jesus. For example, pag may temptation na magalit, I can choose to be calm because of Jesus. And syempre, dapat shine-share ko rin 'to sa iba, para malaman din nila yung new life na meron tayo kay Cristo. And yung Holy Spirit, super important pala talaga na mag-guide sa akin araw-araw. So, moving forward, I want to be more intentional in applying these things in my life. Pray more, read the Bible, and really try to reflect Christ's character in my actions.

On my own words i think tungkol sya sa mga salita na DIYOS, and na kahit every sunday hindi sya nakabase sa pagsisimba, which is kung pano mo kilalanin si Cristo. And hindi hadlang ang past mistakes ko or anything past or anong sabihin ng ibang tao saakin, ijudge nila ako but doesn't defind me as a person, kundi kung sino ako at ano ako kay Cristo.

    My own reflection
As I reflect on New Creation Realities,I understand that being in Christ means I am no longer my old self.
Sabi sa Bible, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation” kaya ang dati kong pagkakamali ay napatawad na.
This gives me peace and assurance na hindi na ako defined by my past.
Minsan mahirap kasi bumabalik pa rin ang old struggles, pero I am reminded that God’s grace is greater.
The Holy Spirit helps me to walk in righteousness and to live with purpose.

    My Reflection

I am renewed, empowered, and given purpose para mabuhay.

Upon accepting Christ, we received an entirely new identity. We are not defined by our previous mistakes or societal expectations but by our connection with Christ. According to 2 Corinthians 5:17, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” This indicates that all our previous failures, guilt, and shame have vanished. We begin anew with God.

Our existence is no longer centered on depending solely on our strength. It is Christ who dwells within us. Galatians 2:20 states, “I have been crucified with Christ, and I do not live anymore, but Christ lives within me.” Each day, we must submit and let Christ guide our lives. We ought to pray and have faith in His direction, allowing His strength to work within us in every circumstance. It’s no longer focused on us managing situations but permitting Him to operate within us.

Being a new creation entails embodying Christ’s character—compassion, patience, humility, and kindness. Daily, we ought to aim to demonstrate one of Christ’s qualities in our dealings, particularly during tough times. Additionally, we must remember that as new creations, we are also tasked with sharing this hope with others. We are His representatives, and our task is to share His message of renewal in Christ.

Being a new creation means letting go of the past and living with a new beginning.

I cannot live this new life by my own effort, but by allowing him to guide me. As I grow, my thoughts and actions begin to change.

By sharing our story, living with joy, and showing kindness, we can inspire others to find hope and experience a new beginning.

This study has reminded me of the incredible gift of being a new creation in Christ. It's not just about knowing it, but living it out daily. I need to actively recognize my new identity, let Christ guide me, and renew my mind with His Word. It's a journey, but one filled with hope and purpose. I'm grateful for the reminder to share this message with others, so they too can experience this new life.

    REFLECTION:
After reading this, it opened my eyes to the truth that a new identity means that I am no longer tied to my past or living under the weight of my past anymore and it gives me a new chance to start over and a new identity in him. It calls me to live differently, showing love, patience, and humility just like Christ. I know the path is not easy but because of the grace of God and through His word and with the guiding of the Holy Spirit I can grow and hold tightly to my faith. In this study I realized that my new identity in Christ is not just meant for me, it is also meant to be shared with others. I want to make my life a testimony so that others can come to know the hope and new beginning Jesus offers.

    My Reflection

Kapag iniisip ko na may buhay pa after this world, nag-iiba yung priorities ko. As a new creation, I am also called to share this message with others.

    NEW CREATION REALITIES

When we accepted Christ, we gained a completely different identity. Our relationship with Christ, not our past errors or societal expectations, is what defines us. According to 2 Corinthians 5:17, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation." This demonstrates that we have overcome all of our past mistakes, guilt, and shame. With God, we start over. Thus, regardless of any obstacles, we must declare daily that we are a fresh creation, and this mindset will transform us. outlook for the future and for ourselves.

Our lives no longer revolve around relying solely on our physical prowess. Christ lives in us. "I have been crucified with Christ, and I do not live anymore, but Christ lives within me," according to Galatians 2:20. Every day, we must surrender and allow Christ to direct our lives. We should have faith in His guidance, pray, and let His power work within us in every situation. It is no longer about us controlling events but allowing Him to work inside us.

Embracing Christ's nature—compassion, patience, humility, and kindness—is necessary to be a new creation. It is not always easy, but with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can grow in these areas. In our relationships, we should strive to reflect one of Christ's virtues on a daily basis, especially when things are difficult. Furthermore, we must keep in mind that we are also responsible for sharing this hope with others as new creations. We are His ambassadors, and it is our responsibility to spread His message of rebirth through Christ.

PART 3: NEW CREATION REALITIES - A BIBLE STUDY

    New Creation Realities

When the Bible says that anyone in Christ is a new creation, it means that God gives me a brand new life and identity. In the past po, I used to do things that hurt others and I found it hard to forgive people who made mistakes against me. But when I prayed and surrendered my life to God, He changed my heart and taught me how to forgive freely. This is part of the new creation reality that the old me, full of anger and pride, is gone, and the new me is now guided by God’s love. Through Christ, I learned not only to forgive others but also to let go of my own mistakes and accept His grace. God also showed me how to value and love myself, because I am His child and a new creation in Him. Living in this reality means walking each day with peace, love, and a renewed purpose that reflects Christ in my life.

  27. For me, being a "new creation" in Christ isn’t just a doctrine—it’s a daily journey of unlearning old patterns and embracing who God says I am. Before, I defined myself by mistakes, insecurities, or what others thought. But when I surrendered to Jesus, He didn’t just forgive my past; He gave me a new identity: beloved child, forgiven, and empowered by His Spirit. This reality hits hardest when I face failure or doubt—I remind myself: "I’m not my mistakes. I’m a work in progress, held by grace." It’s not about being perfect; it’s about letting His love rewrite my story. When I live from this truth, I can love others more freely, extend grace without guilt, and walk with purpose, knowing He’s making all things new—including me.

    ‎My own reflection

Reading through the New Creation Realities reminds me that being in Christ is not just about believing but truly living with a transformed identity. I am no longer who I used to be—my past, failures, and weaknesses do not define me anymore. Instead, Christ in me has given me a new life, a new purpose, and a new hope.

This challenges me to renew my mind daily with God’s Word, to rely on the Holy Spirit for strength, and to reflect Christ’s character in how I treat people. I realize that living as a new creation is not about striving in my own strength but letting Christ live through me.

It also encourages me to walk in freedom, knowing sin no longer has control over me. I have authority in Christ, and I don’t have to live in fear or defeat. At the same time, my eyes are lifted beyond this world—I am reminded to live with eternity in mind, making choices that matter not just now but forever.

Finally, this study makes me reflect on my responsibility to share this new life with others. The change God has done in me is not meant to stay with me alone; I am called to be an ambassador for Christ. That means being intentional about sharing my story, my faith, and the hope I have in Jesus with those around me.

Most of all, I realized that this new life is not just for me to enjoy—I am called to share it with others so they too can experience the transformation that only Christ can bring.

    ‎ My own reflection:
‎ New version of yourself kumbaga, Sabi sa Bible, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation” kaya ang dati kong pagkakamali ay napatawad na.This gives me peace and assurance na hindi na ako defined by my past. Minsan mahirap kasi bumabalik pa rin ang old struggles, pero I am reminded that God’s grace is greater. The Holy Spirit helps me to walk in righteousness and to live with purpose.

‎This study made me realize na I have authority in Christ. So, moving forward, I want to be more intentional in applying these things in my life. Pray more, read the Bible, and really try to reflect Christ's character in my actions and in daily life.

Devotional Week 3 - New Creation Realities

    1. Recognizing Your New Identity in Christ
~ Understanding that I am a new creation change the way I view myself and my past
by not worrying or ashamed by my past mistakes too much anymore. Hindi na ako defined by my past and because of the new creation, mas naging matatag pa yung pananampalataya ko kay Lord God.

    2. Living with Christ as Your Source of Life
~ To live by faith in the Son of God rather than relying on my own strength means that Lord Jesus is my strength and that He is within me. By dedicating and surrendering my life to Lord Jesus, mahaharap ko ng maayos at magaan ang aking mga problema dahil Siya ang aking lakas.

    3. Renewing Your Mind and Walking in the Spirit
~ I can practically renew my mind each day and live according to the Spirit by praying and having time to read bible. Dahil iyan ang isa sa mga paraan para mapalapit ako kay Lord God at para ma-align yung way of thinking ko.

    4. Walking in Freedom from Sin
~ Dealing with temptation and sin can't be prevented but I can avoid it by having faith with God and never doubting Him. Knowing that my old self is crucified is enough for me to know that I am forgiven and I should live with God's grace.

    5. Relying on the Holy Spirit’s Guidance
~ The Holy Spirit is within me and acts like my compass, and by listening and obeying what He's telling me, naa-align ako towards God's will. Aside from listening and obeying, one thing that I also allow the Holy Spirit to lead me is praying and asking for His guidance everyday.

    6. Reflecting Christ’s Character
Kagaya ng quote na nasa itaas, I can practically reflect the character of Christ in my relationships and daily interactions with love, forgiveness, and patience even when others is difficult to understand.

    7. Exercising Your Authority in Christ
~ I think, I can stand firm in the authority that Christ has given me over the enemy by removing doubt in my mind and avoiding the temptation from my enemy that opposes God's purpose. Kasi I know na God is guiding me and nasa side ko Siya and alam ko sa sarili ko na my actions are aligned with God's will and no person or enemy ang mag-aalis noon saakin.

    8. Living with Hope and Expectation of Eternity
~ To think na my life on Earth is just temporary, the eternal perspective is one of the reason that gave me hope to continue, dedicate, and surrender myself to God. It helps/guide me to my decisions in life and to live my life according to God's will.

    9. Sharing the New Creation Message
~ I can be intentional about sharing my faith and the message of the new creation with others by being true about my words and actions that I am living as for God's will. By this, mas authentic o mas genuine yung pag share ko sa message ng New Creation Realities sa iba, kung paano nito na shape yung way of thinking ko and kung paano nito gina-guide yung mga decisions ko knowing na may temptation.

This message is a powerful reminder that our walk with Christ is not just about believing, but about truly living out our new identity in Him. Recognizing that I am a new creation in Christ gives me confidence that my past no longer defines me. Instead, Christ’s life within me brings hope, strength, and renewal each day.

Allowing the Holy Spirit to work in me means surrendering my own will and letting God’s Spirit guide my thoughts, actions, and decisions. As I continue to embrace these truths, I realize that my character, attitude, and even the way I respond to challenges can reflect Christ more and more. This transformation may not happen overnight, but it is a daily process—one that leads me from glory to glory.

What encourages me most is the promise of freedom, authority, and hope that come with being a new creation. I am reminded that I don’t walk this journey alone; God is actively shaping me into His image. This gives me courage to trust Him in every season of life and to believe that each day is an opportunity for growth and deeper intimacy with Him.

In the end, living in the New Creation Realities means living with purpose, freedom, and assurance that Christ is alive in me—and that through Him, I am continually being transformed.

    1. Recognizing your new identity in Christ
    - Understanding that I'm a new creation in Christ helps me see myself and my past differently. Instead of feeling defined by my mistakes or things I've gone through, I can focus on who I am now. My past doesn't have to hold me back because I'm a new person with a fresh start, and that changes how I view my life moving forward.

    2. Living with Christ as your source of life
-My life isn't about what I can accomplish on my own because I believe in the Son of God. It's about putting my faith in Jesus to lead me and give me the courage I need. I'm sending in to His plan and trusting that His sacrifice and love are sufficient, rather than depending on my own efforts. It's similar to going from a torch with a dead battery to an always-on power outlet. I get a new type of strength from this perspective, one that comes from Christ living inside of me rather than from myself.

    3. Renewing your mind and Walking in the Spirit
-To renew my mind, I can read the Bible and pray every day to stay focused on God's will. I'll also try to be aware of my thoughts and actions, asking the Holy Spirit for help in making choices that honor Him.

    4. Walking in Freedom from Sin
-According to the text, understanding that my "old self" was crucified with Christ frees me from the power of sin, which helps me deal with temptation and sin. I can live a new, decent life because Christ has eliminated my old, sinful nature. Because I'm no longer influenced by my past actions and can select another path, this gives me the strength to resist temptation.

    5. Relying on the Holy Spirit's Guidance
-To allow the Holy Spirit to guide me, I can read the Bible more often and pray for wisdom and understanding. By spending time in prayer and reflecting on God's word, I believe the Holy Spirit can help me align my choices and actions with what God wants for my life.

    6. Reflecting Christ's Character
-As a student, I think reflecting Christ's character means trying to be more like him in how I treat others every day. I can show Christ's character in my daily life by being more patient and kind with my friends, especially when they're having a tough time. I can also try to be humble and not boast about my achievements, and be loving and helpful to my family and classmates.

    7. Exercising your Authority in Christ
-As a student, I can stand firm in Christ's authority by putting on the full armor of God and trusting in His strength, not my own. According to the Bible, I don't have to live in fear since I have the ability to defeat the enemy. I can defeat evil and live in victory if I have faith in that authority.

    8. Living with Hope and Expectation of Eternity
-An eternal perspective can change how I live by helping me focus on what's truly important and lasting. It leads my priorities to change from temporary items to things that last forever, such as developing my character, showing kindness to others, and making choices that will benefit me in the long run.

    9. Sharing the New Creation Message
I can share my faith by living it out every day, being kind and honest with everyone I meet. I can also invite friends to church or a Bible study. When the time is right, I can tell them my own story about how my faith has changed my life.

    8. How can an eternal perspective change the way you approach your daily life and decisions?
It shifts my focus from temporary gains to lasting impact. I become more intentional with my time, choices, and relationships, valuing what matters for eternity—loving God, serving others, and living in obedience to Him.

    9. How can you be intentional about sharing your faith and the message of the new creation with others?
By living in such a way that people see Christ in me, and by speaking openly about what He has done in my life. Sharing my testimony, encouraging others with Scripture, and being willing to talk about Jesus with love and gentleness are practical ways to share this message.

    Reflection:
Being a new creation in Christ means I don’t have to be chained to my past mistakes or weaknesses anymore. God has given me a fresh start, a new identity, and a greater purpose. Each day is an opportunity to rely on Him instead of my own strength, to let His Word shape my thoughts, and to let the Holy Spirit guide my actions. It also reminds me that I have the power to say no to sin and yes to living a life that reflects Jesus. Most of all, it challenges me to share this hope with others so they can also experience the freedom and joy of having new life in Christ.
