I Seek First the Kingdom of God
Devotional Thought:
Life often pulls us in many directions, with countless demands competing for our attention. But Jesus gave us a clear priority: to seek first the kingdom of God. This means putting God’s will, His purposes, and His righteousness above everything else in our lives.
When we prioritize God, He promises to take care of our needs. Instead of chasing after material things or worrying about tomorrow, we can trust that God, who is our Provider, will supply all that we require. Seeking His kingdom shifts our focus from earthly concerns to eternal values and brings peace, purpose, and provision into our lives.
Reflection Questions:
- What does seeking first the kingdom of God look like in your daily life?
- Are there areas in your life where you’ve placed worldly priorities above God?
- How can you trust God more to provide for your needs as you focus on His kingdom?
Prayer:
Lord, help me to seek Your kingdom and righteousness above all else. Teach me to trust in Your provision and to focus on the things that matter to You. Align my heart with Your purposes and guide me in living for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step:
Evaluate your daily schedule and priorities. Dedicate time each day to seek God’s kingdom through prayer, Bible study, and serving others.

What an insightful read, Sir!
In my daily life, seeking the Kingdom of God first looks like prioritizing peace of mind during stressful situations and silently asking for His guidance before anything. An example of this would be when I cross the street, take an exam, before I eat, or even when I wake up in the morning and before I sleep. Also when I'm reviewing a subject and I feel the drowsiness kicking in.
To answer the second question, I don't think I have put my wordly priorities over God in any area of my life, because God created me and God has planned everything for me, therefore I am only walking in the path that God has always wanted for me. Or else, wouldn't that be like walking towards death?
Lastly, in order to trust God more, I will improve my transparency and righteousness in everything I do. I should lay myself inside out bare to Him, so that in fulfilling His purpose for me, He will be by my side to support and provide for my needs as I walk in the path that He has created. That is all, Sir.

Put God first on your life, there is so many direction in life but choose God, beacause God wil never levae you. Instead of worrying about for tomorrow just trust in God, God will provide everything.
This says that we should first seek God, come to Him, surrender and let God enter our lives. Because He cares.
ReplyDeleteAs Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future".
God always had a better plan, He create us to seek for Him and not the worldly things. He create us for Him, I/we belong to God, not in this world.

Devotional Week 3
The devotional "I Seek First the Kingdom of God" profoundly resonated with me. Ang core message niya is seeking God's kingdom first, which is a timeless principle, ang pundasyon ng isang buhay na may layunin. The scripture from Matthew 6:33 is powerful; it's not about neglecting our needs, but prioritizing what truly matters.
The reflection questions were thought-provoking. They challenged me to examine my daily life: Saan ko ba inilalagay ang aking mga priorities? Am I truly seeking God's kingdom first, or am I caught up in the endless cycle of worldly pursuits? The prayer offered a beautiful guide for seeking God's guidance and aligning my heart with His purposes.
The action step—evaluating my daily schedule and dedicating time to prayer, Bible study, and serving others is a practical application of the devotional's message. It's a call to action, a challenge to live out what I've learned. Isang hamon na baguhin ang ating pamumuhay at iayon ito sa kalooban ng Diyos or tinatawag nating God's will.
In summary, this devotional is a reminder that true fulfillment comes from seeking God's kingdom, not from chasing earthly possessions or achievements.

DeleteSeeking God's kingdom daily means aligning my thoughts, actions, and desires with His will. It’s about starting my day with prayer and scripture, not just as a routine but as a way of staying connected with Him. It means making decisions with a mindset that reflects God’s values—choosing love over selfishness, generosity over greed, and obedience over convenience. Seeking God’s kingdom means that in every interaction, I strive to reflect Christ’s love and truth.
When I reflect honestly, I see moments when work, financial security, or personal ambitions take center stage over my relationship with God. Sometimes, the pursuit of success, comfort, or approval from others overshadows my trust in God’s plan. It’s easy to get caught up in worry about the future or to rely more on my own efforts rather than surrendering fully to God’s guidance. Recognizing these misplaced priorities helps me recalibrate my heart and refocus on what truly matters.
Trusting God’s provision requires surrender—letting go of fear and embracing faith. God has always been faithful in the past, and remembering His goodness gives me confidence that He will continue to provide. I can trust Him more by choosing to pray instead of worry, by seeking contentment instead of striving for more, and by reminding myself that God’s provision is not just about material needs but also about spiritual peace and purpose. As I focus on His kingdom, I am learning that true security is not in what I can accumulate but in the God who holds all things in His hands.

A devotion based on the Book of Matthew can offer powerful insights into the life and teachings of Jesus. Below is a devotion on Matthew, scriptures that encourage personal growth and deepen faith:The Gospel of Matthew
In this powerful verse, Jesus extends an invitation to all who are weary and burdened, promising rest. Life can feel overwhelming at times. Whether it's the pressures of work, relationships, or simply the weight of life's challenges, we all experience moments of exhaustion. Jesus, in His love and grace, calls us to come to Him for rest—not just physical rest, but peace for our souls.
Matthew’s Gospel emphasizes Jesus as the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies and as the King who brings a kingdom not of this world but one of peace, righteousness, and spiritual rest. Jesus offers rest not as a mere escape from the world’s troubles but as a deeper, soul-satisfying rest found only in Him. He understands our burdens, and He invites us to lay them at His feet, trusting that He will carry them for us

It doesn't mean life will be free from struggles, but it does mean that we can trust Him to provide, guide, and sustain us.
Is there something weighing you down that you need to lay at His feet today? Whether it's a fear, worry, or a past mistake, give it to Jesus in prayer, trusting He will give you peace

Seeking first the kingdom of God involves talking to him before making a decision, especially during a hard time. I practice not to let my emotions control me to avoid impulsive actions. When you seek for the guidance of God, your life will be anchored based on his values and principles, which will help you overcome those fears and challenges. In my daily routine, it could look like serving others selflessly and aligning my work or personal goals with God's purpose. Whether at school or relationships, my first thought should be, "How does this align with God's will for my life?".
Yes, there are a lot of times where I prioritize other things rather than spiritual growth. Due to distractions, like social media, I always caught myself doing the same toxic practice over and over again. I was more focused on achieving personal goals rather than relying on God for my needs. These became a hindrance in seeking God first.
Trusting God more means letting go of my worries and doubts and remembering that He knows my needs before I even ask. He is faithful to provide for me. I can build trust by praying regularly, asking for His guidance, and being thankful for what I already have. When challenges come, I can remind myself that God is always with me, and His provision, though sometimes different from what I expect, is always perfect for me.

Life can be too much to handle. School obligations, and future plans are just a few of the numerous things that pull me in different directions, and occasionally I get sucked into it all. However, Matthew 6:33 [ "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." ] serves as a reminder that pursuing God's kingdom should always come first, regardless of how hectic or uncertain life becomes. The rest falls into place when I prioritize Him.
Seeking God's kingdom, in my opinion, involves finding time for Him despite a busy schedule. It involves praying because I sincerely want to get closer to Him, not just when I need something. It involves reading the Bible as a means of comprehending His heart, not just as a habit. It also involves making decisions that are consistent with His righteousness. Choosing kindness over pride, faith over fear, and obedience over convenience.
If I’m being honest, there have been times when I’ve placed other things above God. Sometimes, I worry too much about my future, my studies, or whether I’m doing enough to succeed. I catch myself chasing after security and control instead of simply trusting that God already has everything figured out. But this verse reminds me that I don’t have to strive so hard to make everything work on my own. If I focus on Him, He will take care of me.
Trusting God more means letting go of unnecessary worries and believing that He will provide for everything I need. It’s not always easy, but I know that when I align my life with His will, He will guide me every step of the way. At the end of the day, nothing in this world matters more than living for Him.

1. In my daily life, putting God's Kingdom first means prioritizing serenity during tough times and seeking His guidance before making any decisions, remembering Philippians 4:6-7, which says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” This verse reminds me that true peace comes from trusting God, and when I seek Him first, He provides the wisdom and calmness I need to handle any situation.
2. There are times when I’ve placed worldly priorities above God, particularly in my future career and distractions. I often catch myself overthinking and making decisions based on what seems most secure, rather than first seeking God. Sometimes, I rely too much on my own plans instead of surrendering to Him. But Psalm 46:5 reminds me, “God is within her, she will not fall.” This verse reassures me that as long as I am seeking Him first, I don’t have to fear failure. Even when things seem uncertain, I can trust that God is holding me up.
3. I can trust God more by stepping out in faith, even when it feels uncertain. This might mean being generous, even when money is tight, or following His guidance, even when I don’t fully understand the plan. I hold on to Matthew 6:33, which reminds me that when I put God’s Kingdom first, He will provide for my needs.

In my daily life, seeking God's Kingdom began by the time I wake up in the morning. I ask God about the things I should do during the day in order to please Him. This become my guidance throughout the day that helped me to survive with true happiness and gratitude.
There are always a time that I am distracted that it made me prioritize worldy things. For example, I sometimes prioritize resting and playing mobile games during Sundays instead of attending church and praise the Lord.
Whenever I feel like I am lacking something, I always pray to God for the help and He always blesses me with abundance. And when in doubt the verse from Jeremiah 29:11 which says “'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." always keeps me grateful and trust what the Lord had planned.

Seeking first the kingdom of God is like a daily praying and asking for God's help before I make a decision in life. For me, choosing what God wants me to do and prioritize in life will give me peace.
To be honest, there are areas in my life where I’ve placed worldly priorities above God and the result is not good. Also, I realize that placing worldly priorities above God is not for long term happiness. We will never be happy at the end if we bought something but not essential over something that we need. It will ruin our spiritual relationship with God and at the end, we might regret.
I already fail so many times in life and yet God is still there reminding me that even though how many times I lose, I am not a failure, but I am a child of God who is also first time living in this earth and not a perfect person. I trust the decision of God and what He wants me to be. When I feel anxious, I keep on reminding myself that God will protect me so, I am not afraid to face every challenge that life throws to me anymore.

3. Sometimes trusting God doesn't need explanation, all you need to do is to pray and obey Him. Do all you can do, but when it's not within your reach always realize that it's not your battle anymore, it's God's. Stay still on his promises, why? Because He is God.

Seeking first the kingdom of God is making Him the priority over the things of the world. Activities such as reading His word, communicating with other believers, conversing with God are just some of the thinga that we can do. But unfortunately, there areas in my life where I've placed worldly priorities above God such as my hobbies and my studies. And at some point, I would feel the thirst but I'm using these earthly desires to fulfill it.
God never fails us. His plan may not be the one that we want, but I know, that His ways are better. Additionally, trust Him better even though things don't go the way they want.

Seeking the kingdom of God first in my daily life I thank the Lord every morning because I am still awake and strong, just like my parents.
Sometimes I prioritize gaming and social media or whatever but I don't forget God, my strength and guidance in daily life is good
I trust in God because everything that happens to us has a purpose, we have problems but they are resolved quickly. They say when you stumble even if you get caught, don't worry because the Lord has a plan for everything and will not abandon you.
In a world full of distractions, responsibilities, and ambitions, it’s easy to get caught up in the pursuit of success, financial security, and personal fulfillment. However, Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:33 remind us that our first and foremost priority should be God’s kingdom and His righteousness. When we align our lives with His will, everything else falls into place according to His perfect plan.

There are no other worldly priorities above God as those can seem like what they intended us to have while also prioritizing them still above all else.
God works in many ways such as miracles, placing belief and faith that they will grace us with mercy and love even through our flaws. They well help in ways we don't understand, we simply need to be patient and await the day they reach out to help with our needs and not our wants as God knows us better than ourselves.

1. Seeking first the kingdom of God means putting God at the center of everything I do. Each day, I try to start with prayer and reading the Bible, so I can hear from God and know what He wants for me. I ask Him to guide my thoughts, words, and actions.
ReplyDelete2. Yes, there have been times in my life when I placed worldly things above God. Sometimes, I care more about what people think of me than what God thinks. In a world full of distractions, priorities can easily get tangled. We chase security, success, relationships, and comfort—hoping that once we have enough, we’ll finally feel fulfilled. But Jesus offers a different approach. He tells us to seek first God’s kingdom. That means putting God's will, presence, and purpose ahead of everything else.
When we align our lives with His rule and His righteousness, our needs don’t go unnoticed. God promises that as we put Him first, He will take care of the rest. It’s not a formula for prosperity, but a call to trust: trust that God knows what we need and loves us enough to provide.

1. Seeking the Kingdom in Daily Life
Seeking God’s kingdom means putting His will above my own desires and above the constant noise of the world. I’ve found that when I begin each day in prayer and scripture, my perspective shifts. I’m more grounded, more intentional, and more open to God’s leading. It also means loving and serving others without looking for recognition—simply out of obedience and love for Him.
2. Realigning Priorities
There have been times I’ve let worldly things take center stage—pursuing career goals, craving approval from others. In those moments, I felt a distance from God. But He is always ready to receive me back when I turn my heart to Him. Realigning my priorities to put God first again brings clarity and purpose I can’t find anywhere else.
3. Trusting God to Provide
Trusting God doesn’t come naturally in a world that praises independence and self-sufficiency. Letting go of control is hard. But every time I do, God shows up. He provides in ways I never expected—through opportunities, peace, and even in the quiet reassurance of His presence. His plans are always better than mine.
Seeking first the Kingdom of God means putting Him above all—our desires, plans, and worries—trusting that He knows what we truly need. When God is our priority, everything else falls into its rightful place under His perfect will.

Seeking first the Kingdom of God means prioritizing Him in everything I do, whether through prayer, obedience, or serving others. In my daily life, this looks like starting my day with prayer, reading the Bible, and striving to live according to His will. However, I recognize that there are times when I place worldly priorities above God, such as focusing too much on personal success, material things, or the opinions of others. These distractions can pull me away from fully trusting and seeking Him first.
Despite these struggles, I am reminded that God is my ultimate provider and that I do not need to worry about my needs. When I surrender my worries to Him and put His kingdom first, I experience His peace and guidance. Trusting God more means believing that He knows what is best for me, even when things don’t go as planned. It also means relying on His promises rather than my own understanding.
To grow in faith, I can commit to seeking Him daily, being more intentional in prayer, and prioritizing His word over worldly distractions. As I focus on His kingdom, I know He will provide for my needs in His perfect timing. Ultimately, seeking first the Kingdom of God leads to a life filled with purpose, peace, and trust in Him.

Devotional Week 1:
THE FIRST PRIORITY
Itong devotional na "I Seek First the Kingdom of God", para siyang alarm clock na gumigising sa atin.

“I Seek First the Kingdom of God”
For me, seeking first the Kingdom of God means putting God at the center of my life—before school, work, achievements, or even personal dreams. Minsan kasi, we get so caught up sa daily routines and responsibilities na unti-unti nating napapalitan si Lord ng ibang priorities. This verse reminds me that everything else—success, provision, even peace of mind—will naturally follow if I make God my top priority.
In my daily life, this looks like starting and ending my day with prayer, making choices that reflect God’s values, and learning to trust Him even when things don’t go as planned.
This verse also challenges me to trust God more with my needs. Instead of worrying too much about the future, I’m reminded that He is my Provider. He knows what I need even before I ask. Kaya habang I focus on His kingdom—through service, obedience, and living righteously—I can rest assured na God will take care of the rest.
To seek first God’s kingdom is to live with eternal values, not just temporary concerns. It’s a daily choice to put God above all and trust that His way will always lead me to what’s best.

Seeking first kingdom of God looks like starting my day with prayer and reflection before going through the day. It also includes making decisions with God as our guide. Sabi ni pastor before saamin is paggagawa daw kami ng decision we need to think about WWJD or What would Jesus do. We should always choose honesty and kindness even in our hardest path.
I often tend to focus on other things such as academic and worrying about my performance and my future plans more than trusting God. This sometimes distracted me about seeking His presence first, it steals my peace which is not okay, we should always choose to trust God as He have plan for us.
I can trust God more by reminding myself of His promises in the Scriptures, we should surrender ung mga worries natin sakanya kasi with Him all things is possible, He will provide for us as long as we trust Him. This is not all about just on our own happiness and comfort, dapat is maging obedient tayo sa kanya at maging faithful at maniwala na He will provide for us and we should shift our focus to Him and not to earthly concerns but to eternal values na nagbibigay saatin ng peace and purpose sa ating buhay.

Devotional Week 1
" I seek first the Kingdom of God", it means that kahit gaano pa tayo kabusy sa ating personal life ay dapat magkaroon pa rin tayo ng time para kay God. I have to admit that sometimes chasing my dreams leads me to a different path. When I feel bombarded by challenges and feel like everything seems to be falling apart, I'm forgetting that I have God.

Devotional Week 1:
THE FIRST PRIORITY
In reflecting on what it means to seek first the kingdom of God, I realize that it’s not just a one-time choice, but a daily practice. Every day, life brings new distractions, challenges, and priorities. I often find myself overwhelmed by work, relationships, and personal goals. Yet, when I take a step back and remember that God’s kingdom should come first, everything else starts to fall into place. It’s about choosing to spend time with Him, whether that’s through prayer, reading His word, or simply aligning my actions with His will. I know that when I put God at the center, everything else becomes clearer, and the noise of the world doesn’t feel as loud.
However, I also acknowledge that there are moments when I let the world’s priorities creep in. I’ve caught myself chasing success, approval from others, or material things, believing they will bring me fulfillment. But when I take a closer look, I realize that these things often leave me feeling empty. In those moments, I remember Matthew 6:33, where Jesus tells us to seek His kingdom first, and all these things will be added unto us. It’s a reminder that my true value and purpose aren’t found in what I achieve or possess, but in being aligned with God’s will.
Trusting God to provide for my needs has been a journey of learning to let go of control. There’s a sense of peace that comes from knowing that God, the Creator of everything, is in charge. I don’t have to carry the weight of trying to secure everything on my own. By focusing on His kingdom, I can trust that He will take care of all the other things that concern me. It’s a continuous process, but each time I surrender my worries to Him, I experience a deeper sense of trust and peace. God’s provision isn’t just about meeting my physical needs, it’s about providing purpose, peace, and a deeper relationship with Him.

: This devotional week 1, what I realize is, that we're created by God, each and everyone of us had a purpose here on earth. Pero madalas, nakakalimutan na natin ang reason na to, as the statement says na "life often pull us in many different directions with countless demands". Ang nasa isip na natin is we must live in this world, na we need to survive, as people often look for material things and not seeking for God.
So this first devotional reminding us that, we're here today for/by God's purpose and plan. Na kahit e betray man tayo ng mundo, okay lang dahil meron tayong Diyos na always gagabay saatin at never tayong pababayaan because "God is our provider".
So, we should first seek the Kingdom of God and not the wordly things, surrender to Him, and let God enter our lives. God always had a better plan, He created us for Him and Him only. When we start doing this, it'll give us peace and a clearer vision of life.

"I seek first the Kingdom of God" is a phrase that comes from the Bible, specifically Matthew 6:33. It suggests prioritizing spiritual matters, aligning one's life with God’s will, and focusing on the eternal, rather than the temporal. It's an invitation to center one’s life around faith, purpose, and divine guidance.
Seeking first the Kingdom of God is about prioritizing spiritual growth and righteousness above all else. It means aligning my actions, decisions, and desires with God's will, trusting that He will provide for my needs. This pursuit requires a constant evaluation of my values and a willingness to surrender my own plans to embrace His divine purpose.
Let's prioritize the kingdom of God first because seeking the kingdom of God is our path toward God's light and glory, and this is where we can draw closer to Him.

1.Prioritizing the kingdom of God ay maihahalintulad ko sa pagsunod ko sa aking magulang sa arqw-araw. Just as we trust our parents to guide us for our own good, prioritizing God means trusting His plans and obeying His commands, knowing that He wants what’s best for us. Sa bawat desisyon na ginagawa natin, we should reflect on what God desires, just like we consider our parents' advice. Following our parents’ rules shows respect and love for them, and in the same way, prioritizing God reflects our love and respect for Him. It’s about putting His desires above our own. By making God a priority, we are essentially following His guidance, just like we do with our parents.
2.There was a time when I chose not to go to church with my family because I had schoolwork that I needed to finish. I felt the pressure of deadlines weighing heavily on me, and I thought that skipping church would allow me to focus better on my studies. However, looking back, I realize that this decision was a moment when I placed worldly priorities above my relationship with God. I failed to see that attending church could have provided me with the strength and guidance I needed to tackle my schoolwork more effectively. Now, I understand that nurturing my faith is just as important as my academic responsibilities, and I strive to find a balance between the two.
3.
Sa pamamagitan ng pagsunod sa kanyang mga aral at salita, I have learned to trust God more in providing for my needs as I focus on His kingdom. When I prioritize my relationship with God and align my actions with His teachings, I find a sense of peace and assurance that He will take care of me. Instead of stressing over my circumstances, I am reminded that God knows my needs and will provide for them in His perfect timing. By focusing on His kingdom and living according to His word, I am able to let go of my worries and trust that He is always working for my good. This shift in mindset allows me to experience the abundance of His grace and provision in my life.

Reflection Questions:
1. What does seeking first the kingdom of God look like in your daily life?
- It will look like prioritizing Him above all else before the rest of the day. Like when I woke up in the morning, I would pray so that I will have have a guide for the rest of the day. Also I would make sure that I have allotted time for the Lord everyday, such as doing my daily devotional, listening to worship songs and meditating His words and songs for Him. Do not forget to go to church every sunday and have a fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ. And above all else I wouldn't forget to obey what is written in His words and apply it to my life.
2. Are there areas in your life where you’ve placed worldly priorities above God?
- Before totally committing myself to Him I admit that there are areas in my life that I've placed worldly priorities over Him such as for my studies and sometimes for the feeling of comfort, I don't went to church because I prioritize myself over God that time. Also there are times when I'm already a Christian and we have a practice for sunday service since I'm a member of worship team then I don't go because I prioritize my review(study). And that areas in my life made me realize that I shouldn't prioritize my self over God because that time when I prioritize my self, rather I get a high score on my test it became a bit lower.
3. How can you trust God more to provide for your needs as you focus on His kingdom?
- I already experienced how powerful He is, just like my living testimony as a student. When I'm prioritizing Him over my studies, not just I get high scores on my test but I became one of those who topped. He indeed really provide for what I need when I'm prioritizing Him so I wholeheartedly trust Him because He's true to His words and never lack of anything. He always provide for what I need such as tuition fees, foods and any other things we think are not that important. So as a servant of God, I will always seek His kingdom first and focus on it because I trust Him that he will do the rest and provide for what I need. I know before I ask Him, He already knows what I needed so there's no need to worry about anything, instead we should pray about everything.

Seeking first the kingdom of God in everyday life feels like choosing to put God at the center of everything you do. It’s waking up each morning and inviting Him into your day through prayer, letting His Word guide your decisions, and trying to live in a way that reflects His love and truth, even when it’s not easy.
We all have moments when other things take the spotlight maybe it’s stressing about school works, chasing after stuff, or caring too much about what others think. Those are normal, but when we notice these distractions, it’s a gentle reminder to bring our focus back to God and what truly matters.
Trusting God more means learning to let go of our worries and believing that He’s got us covered. It’s not always simple, especially when life is uncertain, but it helps to remember times He came through for us before. When we lean into that faith, we find a peace that quietly says, I’m cared for, even in the chaos. It’s like walking hand in hand with God, knowing He sees your needs and will provide in His perfect way and timing.
In short, seeking God first means living with a heart that’s tuned to Him, letting His love shape our day, our choices, and our hope for tomorrow.

I remember one Christmas season where I didnt complete the dawn masses because I was excited to open my present, and my grandparents share a story that changes my POV, they told me that Nothing on earth will prevail over God's wors and work, that no one can compare to him so I must learn to appreciate every blessing that came from above, they always told me that I shouldn't let my relationship to him be ruined by anything from thereI learned that i shouldn't doubt him yet ask in a form of prayer because he will answer.
• How can you trust God more to provide for your needs as you focus on His kingdom?
God made his words to his believers, he would provide our needs so we only need we focused on his will, we shouldn't doubt in him and continue our journey on knowing his kingdom. His words are the living testament that we might feel alone but he will never abandon us,prayer works on everything even on our hardest days so keepin in touch with him through prayers will strengthen not only my faith but as well my relationship to him.

After reading the lesson, I realized many things that now serve as my guidance. For me, seeking first the kingdom of God in my daily life means choosing to put Him at the center of everything I do like when I feel stressed each day, instead of letting worry control me, I turn to prayer and trust His peace. When I face important decisions, I seek His wisdom through His Word rather than relying only on my own understanding. I admit sometimes there are times when I’ve placed worldly priorities above God, just for example focusing too much on my study because of busy schedule and there's a lot of priorities in school I need to accomplish or personal desires like that, but I’ve realized that these things can never give true fulfillment apart from Him. As I continue to grow, I can trust God more by remembering His promises that if I put Him first, He will provide for all my needs.

DeleteLife often pulls us in many directions—work, studies, family, finances, dreams, and struggles. Many times, we chase after things we think will bring happiness or security. But Jesus reminds us of the right priority: the Kingdom of God first.
To “seek first” means:
Priority – God’s rule and righteousness come before our own desires.
Trust – Believing He will provide what we need when we put Him first.
Focus – Choosing eternal values over temporary worries.
When we center our lives on God, everything else finds its rightful place. It doesn’t mean life will be problem-free, but it does mean that God promises to take care of us when we put Him above all.
Think of it like building a house: if the foundation (God’s kingdom) is strong, the rest of the house (your life, goals, needs) can stand firmly.

1. What does seeking first the kingdom of God look like in your daily life?
As a student, I believe that seeking first the kingdom of God entails setting aside time each day, despite my hectic schedule, for Him. It entails reading the Bible or praying first thing in the morning before tackling my assignments or using social media. It also entails making an effort to make decisions that glorify God, such as being truthful in my work, showing kindness to others, and avoiding letting stress control me. In order to concentrate on what truly matters—developing a better relationship with God and serving others—it occasionally takes saying no to distractions.
2. Are there areas in your life where you’ve placed worldly priorities above God?
Of course. I occasionally prioritise entertainment, social acceptance, or academic performance over my time with God. I've noticed that I may neglect to pray or skip my quiet time when I'm anxious about tests or preoccupied with other things. It's simple to become preoccupied with pleasing others or worrying about the future rather than having faith in God's plan. I'm aware that I need to work on making God my first priority rather than merely fitting him in during my free time.
3. How can you trust God more to provide for your needs as you focus on His kingdom?
Reminding myself of God's faithfulness and the ways He has previously supported my family and myself will increase my trust in Him. Instead of attempting to manage everything on my own, I can pray and offer Him my worries when they arise. Even though things don't always go as planned, I may also make an effort to keep in mind that God is more aware of my needs than I am, therefore putting Him first can help me find calm. As I read more of the Bible and see how God has provided for others, my trust builds.

In my daily life, seeking the Kingdom of God first looks like prioritizing peace of mind during stressful situations and silently asking for His guidance before anything. An example of this would be when I cross the street, take an exam, before I eat, or even when I wake up in the morning and before I sleep.
To answer the second question, I don't think I have put my wordly priorities over God in any area of my life, because God created me and God has planned everything for me, therefore I am only walking in the path that God has always wanted for me.
Lastly, in order to trust God more, I will improve my transparency and righteousness in everything I do. I should lay myself inside out bare to Him, so that in fulfilling His purpose for me, He will be by my side to support and provide for my needs as I walk in the path that He has created.

1.For me, the word seeking first the kingdom of God looks like in my daily life is that every time we wake up in the morning, we always pray and give thanks for another day that God has given us. Also, when we go to sleep, we give thanks because the day has ended happily. Also, when we eat, we give thanks for the food that the Lord has served us because He is our provider.
2.Yes, I admit that I have prioritised material things on sometimes. For me, it usually has to do with my schoolwork. The pressure to perform well academically and earn good grades can cause me to put my accomplishments before of seeking God's will. Finding a balance between these things and keeping in mind what matters most is a never-ending battle. However, I always remind myself that I should always prioritise God and pray before doing my tasks.
3.By reminding myself of God's past faithfulness, I can increase my trust in him. Developing the amount of time I spent in prayer and Bible reading is a great spot to start. I can also make an effort to put more of my attention on helping others and using my talents for his kingdom rather than on my own skills. I think God will provide for my needs if I prioritise his job. It's about trusting that he will take care of the rest and changing my attention from what I can get to what I can give.

"Reflecting on Matthew 6:33 reminds me of a crucial truth: our lives should be centered on God and His kingdom. In a world full of noise and demands, it's easy to get carried away chasing after material things or worrying about the future. But this verse provides a clear direction—put God first, and all our needs will be added.
For me, "seeking first the kingdom of God" means intentionally setting aside time for prayer and Bible reading each day, no matter how busy I am. It also means making decisions based on His will, not on my own desires or fears. When I do this, I see how He orders my priorities, gives me peace in the midst of chaos, and shows His faithfulness in providing for my needs. It's a reminder that true security and purpose can only be found in putting Jesus at the center of everything."

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (Mateo 6:33, KJV) Sa ating daily life, we are often pulled in different directions ng mga demands ng buhay.
May mga parts ba sa buhay mo where you placed worldly priorities above God? Let's pray: Lord, tulungan Mo ako na hanapin ang Iyong kingdom and righteousness above all. Teach me to trust sa Iyong provision at tumuon sa mga bagay na mahalaga sa Iyo. Align Mo ang aking heart sa Iyong purposes and guide me sa living for Your glory. Sa pangalan ni Jesus, Amen.
Bilang action step, let's evaluate ang ating daily schedule at priorities. Maglaan tayo ng time araw-araw para sa prayer, Bible study, at serving others para hanapin ang kingdom of God. Sa pag-gawa nito, we can experience ang peace at purpose na nanggagaling sa pagiging focused sa Diyos. Ang seeking God's kingdom is not just a task but a relationship na nagbabago ng ating perspective at buhay.

Seeking the Kingdom of God first, for me, means consciously choosing peace of mind and asking for His guidance in every part of my day. This practice extends to small, everyday actions like crossing the street or waking up, as well as more significant moments like taking an exam or feeling drowsy while studying.
I believe that I haven't placed worldly priorities over God because I trust that my life is unfolding according to His divine plan. I see my path as the one He has always intended for me, and deviating from it would feel like a choice against life itself.
To deepen my trust in God, I am committed to living with greater transparency and righteousness. I want to be completely open with Him, believing that by fulfilling His purpose for my life, He will be there to support and provide for my every need.

1.For me Seeking first the Kingdom of God means starting each day with intentional time in prayer and the Word, asking God to guide my thoughts, decisions, and actions. It means letting His principles shape how I treat others, how I work, how I manage my time, and how I respond to challenges. It’s about making God the center of my life not just part of it and inviting Him into every aspect, from my relationships to my goals.
2.Yes, there are times when I’ve allowed worry, success, or even comfort to take precedence over God’s will. For instance, I may focus too much on financial security or personal achievements rather than trusting God's timing and purpose. It’s easy to get caught up in busyness and forget that God is the one who sustains everything. Recognizing these areas is the first step to realignment with His kingdom.
3.I can trust God more by reminding myself of His past faithfulnesshow He has never failed to provide even when I couldn’t see a way. Building a habit of gratitude helps strengthen that trust. Also, by meditating on scriptures like Matthew 6:33, I can quiet the voice of fear and anxiety. Trust deepens when I surrender control and genuinely believe that God's ways are higher, and His provision is always right on time.

Seeking God first means putting God first over everything else. Going to church every first days of new weeks and praying to Him before going to sleep for rest are an act of putting God fist in our daily lives but it also meant seeking to Him and trusting Him first when everything feels heavy to handle then surrendering it to Him because you trust God that He will provide a way for you to survive that situation. In short, seeking to Him means trusting Him more than everyone else.

Reading “I Seek First the Kingdom of God” reminded me that my relationship with the Lord should always come before everything else. Many times I get distracted by worries, responsibilities, or even my own plans, but this verse teaches me that if I put God first, He will take care of all my needs. Seeking His kingdom is not just about prayer, but also about living every day in a way that honors Him—through my choices, my actions, and how I treat others. It also comforts me to know that I don’t have to carry my burdens alone because God promises to provide when I trust in Him. This devotional encourages me to focus on what truly matters: living with faith, peace, and obedience to God’s will.

I SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD
REFLECTION:
After reading it, I learned that the most important thing is to put God first in everything or in my life. It also says that people often put material things, ambitions, or our own desires first, but God also said or taught that when the kingdom of God and his righteousness are our first or my first, he himself will take care of all our needs. What I learned from this is that true peace and security can only be achieved when I put God first in my life or in everything.

As a student reflecting on the devotional regarding seeking first the Kingdom of God, I recognize the challenge of prioritizing spiritual pursuits amidst various worldly demands. The text emphasizes aligning one's life with God's will and righteousness, trusting that He will provide for our needs when we place Him above all else. This necessitates a conscious effort to dedicate time to prayer, scripture study, and service to others, potentially requiring a shift in focus from personal desires to actions that reflect God's values. While the practical application of this principle may present ongoing challenges, the potential for a more purposeful and fulfilling life motivates a commitment to strive towards this ideal.

I realized that seeking God’s kingdom daily means anchoring my heart in His Word before the noise of the world takes over. It starts with surrendering my plans—whether it’s a hectic work schedule, financial goals, or personal ambitions—to His guidance. For me, this looks like beginning each day in prayer, asking, “Lord, how can I honor You today?” It means choosing patience over frustration when deadlines pile up, or generosity over greed when tempted to hoard resources. Even small acts, like pausing to encourage someone or refusing to compromise integrity at work, become ways to prioritize His righteousness. Yet, I’m reminded that seeking His kingdom isn’t about perfection but persistence. When distractions creep in, I reset by asking, “Does this align with what He values?”
I often catch myself clinging to worldly priorities, like obsessing over societal approval or stressing over future security. Jesus’ call to “seek first” challenges me to release these fears and trust that God’s provision isn’t limited by my flawed calculations. For instance, tithing when finances feel tight or serving others despite my busyness forces me to rely on His faithfulness, not my efforts. This journey requires daily repentance—turning away from self-reliance and turning toward His promises. As I lean into prayer and community, I see how God reshapes my desires: career success matters less than stewarding my gifts for His glory, and relationships become opportunities to reflect His love. Slowly, I’m learning that true peace isn’t found in control but in letting His kingdom lead.

I am Matthew 6:33, a compass for the soul and a promise for the weary. I whisper a simple, yet profound truth: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." I am the gentle tug on your heart when the world demands your full attention, a reminder that true fulfillment isn't found in what you accumulate, but in whom you serve.
My reflection is seen in the life that trusts. It's the parent who, despite financial worries, chooses to spend quality time teaching their child about God's love. It's the worker who, faced with an ethical dilemma, chooses integrity over a promotion. I am the peace that settles your heart when you let go of the need to control every outcome, knowing that God has already ordered your steps. Seeking first the kingdom of God means putting Him above everything else in my life. Each day, the moment I wake up, I thank Him for the gift of life once again. I pray, spend time reading His Word, and hold on to it as my guide throughout the day. I choose to trust God’s power and His will, knowing He has a beautiful plan for me.
As a student, I admit there are times when I give more attention to worldly things than to God. Sometimes I prioritize temporary desires instead of following Him. But even in those moments, I still feel His presence guiding me. There are days when I feel weak and unsure if I can continue, yet Jesus wakes me up each morning and reminds me that He will never let me drift away from Him. I experience His nearness every day, and even when problems come, I choose to trust Him.
I believe that Jesus provides for all my needs daily. I don’t have to worry about tomorrow because God is already there, ready to supply what I need. As the saying goes, “May himala.” And yes—it’s all because of Him. We just need to put our trust in Him, especially in times of struggle or when we feel we can’t face another day. Even in small decisions—how I treat others, how I handle stress—I try to choose what reflects His love and righteousness. Seeking His kingdom daily is about letting Him be the center, not just a part of my routine.
2. Are there areas in your life where you’ve placed worldly priorities above God?
Yes—sometimes I worry too much about success, money, or what people think of me. These things can easily take God’s place in my heart. When I notice this, I need to pause, repent, and remind myself that only God can truly satisfy and give lasting peace.
3. How can you trust God more to provide for your needs as you focus on His kingdom?
By remembering His past faithfulness. God has always provided, even in moments I doubted. Trusting Him more means letting go of fear about tomorrow, knowing He cares for me. If I keep His will and righteousness first, He will supply what I truly need in His perfect timing.

We know or when we heard Seeking the Kingdom of God is we will think that it is going to church, hear the sermon of pastor's, read bible and so on. But it goes deeper than that. I think its about changing the way i see everything in my life. When we put God's kingdom in our life, it means that my dreams, my ambitions, and my relationships all have to line up with His will. Sometimes what I want and what I think God wants are totally different! It can be scary to let go of my own plans and trust that He knows better. But I think that's where the real faith comes in.
When I truly seek His kingdom first, I believe that everything else will fall into place. It doesn't mean life will be perfect, but it means I'll have peace knowing that I'm on the right path, doing what I'm meant to do. And that's a pretty awesome feeling.

1. By making Him the center of our everyday decision. By starting my day
praying seeking guidance of him with the decision I take in life.
2.Yes. Sometimes, I’ve allowed busyness, distractions, or personal comfort
to keep me from attending Mass. When I skip worship or delay prayer because of school
work, or errands. I realize I’m placing worldly priorities above my
relationship with God. It’s a gentle reminder to realign my heart and
schedule—to give God the first place, not the leftover time.
3. I can trust God more by holding firmly to His Word and promises. The Bible
reminds me that He is faithful, generous, and attentive to every need. His
promises give me peace and confidence that as I seek His kingdom first, He will
take care of everything else. Trust grows when I choose to believe His Word
over my fears.

Matthew 6:33, feels like Jesus is giving us a secret rule for how to have a super good life: "Seek ye first the kingdom of God..." I think "seeking first the kingdom of God" means making sure God is like the boss of my day, putting Him first even before playing video games or finishing my homework, like putting the biggest, most important piece of a puzzle in place first. In my daily life, this looks like saying a quick prayer when I wake up instead of rushing for my tablet, or remembering that God wants me to be kind and fair when I see someone sad or left out at school. It also helps me when I'm worried about a test or if my friends like me, because I can remember God promised to take care of me, which is the cool part: "all these things shall be added unto you," like getting a special bonus prize just for doing the right thing. Sometimes I put my own wants first, which is like building my own kingdom, and the devotional says that only makes me worried and busy. I really want to try to trust God more because if He feeds the birds and makes the flowers grow, He can definitely help me with my math homework and having a good day. The idea of looking at my schedule is smart, and I could even set a reminder to stop and pray just to make sure God is the very first thing I think about. The main thing I want to remember is simple: Put God and His kindness first, and He takes care of the rest!

Seeking first the kingdom of God for me means starting each day with prayer and choosing to do good even in small ways, like showing kindness and patience. I’m learning to put Him first. I realize that achievements mean nothing if I’m not walking with Him. To trust God more, I try to let go of my worries and believe that He will provide what I need in His perfect timing. As long as I focus on serving and honoring Him, alam kong hindi Niya ako pababayaan.

1. Seeking first the kingdom of God in daily life means putting God at the center of everything like starting the day with prayer, asking for guidance before every decision, and striving to live according to His will. It’s about seeking peace and strength through Him, especially during stressful moments like exams or family responsibilities, and choosing to align actions with God’s righteousness rather than worldly pressures.
2. There are times when worldly priorities such as school deadlines, personal ambitions, social distractions, or family duties can take over and become more urgent, causing moments when God is unintentionally placed second. These moments can lead to stress and a feeling of emptiness, but recognizing them is the first step to realigning priorities back to God.
3. Trusting God more involves surrendering worries and fears, remembering His faithfulness in the past, and intentionally focusing on His promises rather than on current anxieties. It means learning to let go of control, praying regularly, and believing that as one seeks God’s kingdom first, He will provide not only physical needs but also spiritual peace and purpose for each day’s challenges. This trust grows through continual reliance on God’s guidance despite uncertainties and struggles.

Seeking first the Kingdom of God reminds me that true fulfillment doesn’t come from worldly success or material gain, but from aligning my life with God’s will. In a world filled with distractions and pressures to achieve more, this verse teaches me to pause and refocus on what truly matters—my relationship with God and living according to His righteousness.
When I put God first, I learn to trust His timing and provision rather than relying solely on my own efforts. It becomes less about what I can gain and more about how I can serve, love, and honor Him in everything I do. Prioritizing His Kingdom gives my life direction and peace, knowing that God will take care of the rest when I seek Him wholeheartedly.
Ultimately, this passage challenges me to reorder my priorities—to make God the center of every decision, goal, and dream—because when He comes first, everything else falls beautifully into place.

Seeking first the kingdom of God means I put Him first before anything else in my life. Every day I try to pray and thank Him for all the things He done for me, even the small ones. I do my best to follow what is right even it’s not easy sometimes. I also try to be kind to people, share what I can, and live in a way that make God happy and proud of me.
Yes, sometimes I admit I put worldly things above God. There are times I care more on my phone, social media, or school works than spending time to pray. Sometimes I worry too much about things I want and forget to trust God’s plan.
I can trust God more by always reminding myself that He knows what is best for me. I should stop overthinking and start praying more. When I focus on His kingdom, I believe He will give what I truly need in His own perfect time. I just need to have faith and keep doing what is right.

ReplyDelete1. ) Upon witnessing and experiencing, seeking first the kingdom of God looked like the simplest yet most significant thing I do in my daily life. Prayers each day give me the opportunity to show him gratitude and ask for forgiveness. Doing good deeds and interacting with everyone. Spending my time with my friends in a Bible study. Also dedicating my time to studying and learning new things, both in school and in the Bible.
2.) It may sound sad, but, yes. There are times I placed worldly priorities above God. I'd take studying and having fun as an example. Times like this made me forget to pray, and I couldn't visit the church. My time isn't managed well, so there are times I couldn't make it. Afterwards, I would always ask for forgiveness. But nowadays, I've made it a point to multitask well every day, managing my time correctly. I would come up with a prayer each day for gratitude and ask for guidance as well as go to the church with my family every Sunday.
3.) I trust God by letting him guide me through all aspects of my daily life. Whether there are challenges on some days, I know it will always have a purpose, and it will help me pave the way to where God wants me to be and to become. As I let him guide me to his kingdom, I shall focus more on my duties with heart and his glory.
Reflection:
As I read this passage, it made me realize that despite the challenges God had given me in my life, there was always a purpose. He has noticed and knows that sometimes I have to prioritize other earthly concerns over him. In some parts, I've noticed that he had already provided me all the answers and needs that I seek and require that I have blindly gone unnoticed. But in this passage, I learn the important action step or application in order to seek more of God's kingdom, and how I will prioritize him above all things.
