Mamuhay sa Disiplina ng Sarili
📖 "He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls."
— Proverbs 25:28
Panimula
1. Disiplina sa Sariling Katawan
📖 "But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway."
— 1 Corinthians 9:27
2. Disiplina sa Isip at Damdamin
📖 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
— 2 Timothy 1:7
📖 "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
— Philippians 4:8
3. Disiplina sa Pananalita
📖 "He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction."
— Proverbs 13:3
📖 "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man."
— Colossians 4:6
4. Disiplina sa Pananampalataya at Pananalangin
📖 "But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer."
— 1 Peter 4:7
📖 "Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong."
— 1 Corinthians 16:13
Pagninilay at Panalangin
Reflection Verse:
📖 "Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby."
— Hebrews 12:11
Hebrews 12:11 NIV
ReplyDelete[11] No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
At first, having obliged on everyday prayer and devotion is kind of hard to follow, especially when we are not used to do something like this. But as we read the scriptures, the Lord will surely reveal Himself to you. All we need to do, is to have courage and discipline to obey Him. For prayer is the most powerful weapon we have.

ReplyDeleteFrom Hebrews 12:11
ReplyDeleteSpeaks to the paradoxical nature of suffering and its ultimate redemptive power. It's not something we naturally find joyful in the moment. However, the verse emphasizes that this initial pain is not the end of the story. The key lies in the phrase "afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness."
The "peaceable fruit of righteousness" represents the positive, lasting outcome of enduring the difficult experience. This growth comes from the process of being "exercised"—tested, refined, and ultimately strengthened by the trials.
The reflection here centers on the importance of perspective. The "peaceable fruit" is a promise of future blessing, a reward for perseverance and faithfulness during times of adversity. The verse encourages patience and faith, reminding us that the present pain is temporary, while the future reward is eternal.

Discipline has different aspects that we need to develop, control, and be consistent in our actions. It is one of the most important traits that a person must have. It is our foundation for self-growth and success. Discipline helps to stay focused on goals, overcome challenges, and have consistency
.
I believe that while we're making our self-discipline stronger, it will lead us to success. Live a life that is grounded by discipline and commitment. If we have plans to work in silence, don't tell others what your plan is because they might be a distraction. Remember that not everyone wants to see you succeed in life. Let distractors only see reality, not our dreams and plans in life. Life is like a game of chess; we don't need to speak but to act. Let the success blow at last.
In everything we do, discipline and temperance in action and words are important. Being disciplined takes time and commitment. Not just in our external personality but also in our internal personality. When we're disciplined enough, it's not easy to be distracted and lose hope in times of challenges.

Devotional Week 2
The devotion Mamuhay sa Disiplina ng Sarili emphasizes the importance of self-discipline in various aspects of life, particularly for those on a spiritual journey. It highlights the interconnectedness of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual disciplines. The core message revolves around gaining control over one's thoughts, words, and actions. The analogy of a city without walls illustrates the vulnerability of an undisciplined life, susceptible to temptation and chaos. The devotion doesn't isolate discipline to a single area. It addresses self-discipline in physical health, mental and emotional well-being, speech, and spiritual growth. The ultimate goal of self-discipline is presented as a means to strengthen one's faith and relationship with God. Disciplined living is viewed as a path to spiritual maturity and resilience. The devotion acknowledges the ever-present challenge of temptation and the need for constant vigilance. It encourages active resistance to negative influences. While emphasizing the importance of self-control, the devotion also acknowledges the role of God's grace in overcoming challenges. The reflection verse from Hebrews 12:11 speaks to the eventual benefits of enduring hardship and discipline.
The three questions for self-reflection encourage personal assessment of one's current level of self-discipline and identify areas for improvement. The prayer offers a guide for seeking God's help in cultivating greater self-control.
Overall, this devotion offers a practical and holistic approach to self-discipline, grounding it within a spiritual framework. It emphasizes the importance of consistent effort, perseverance, and reliance on God's grace in the journey toward self-mastery and spiritual growth.

Hebrew 12-11
Hebrews gives us a wonderful list of people who are commended by God for their faith. It is a catalogue of men and women, named and unnamed, that stand as witnesses to lives that honoured the Lord – men like Abraham who looked for a city whose Builder and Maker is God; women like Sarah who considered God was faithful to keep His promise.
They are called "a great cloud of witnesses," and indeed their lives demonstrate a trust in God that stands as a wonderful testimony to the faithfulness of God in their lives, and a great encouragement for us to run the race that lies before us, and press on for the high call of God as we look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith Who endured the Cross for our sake: "Therefore," we are exhorted, "since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us."
Despite the many trials and tribulations they were called upon to face, these men and women obtained a good testimony through faith. They finished the race that was set before them having set aside the sin which plagues so many Christians – the sin of unbelief. And as we look at their example, we are challenged in our own race through life, to forget the things which are behind, to discard anything and everything that might impede our progress or hinders our witness, as we reach forward to complete God's plans and purposes for our lives.
Self-discipline strengthens our faith and guards us against temptation. Through self-control in mind, body, words, and prayer, we grow closer to God. With His help, we can overcome and live with purpose.

Hebrews 12-11
ReplyDeleteIn this passage, the writer of Hebrews is pointing out that merely experiencing something unpleasant does not mean we're being punished by God, or have been abandoned by Him. There are times where God uses struggles and hardships to correct us away from sin. Here, the writer points out that nobody likes to be disciplined. Hardships are just that: difficult times, and a test of our faith. While in the midst of some struggle, our minds are mostly concerned with how unpleasant the situation is.

Living with discipline means committing to self-control, consistency, and a strong moral foundation. It requires making choices that align with our values and long-term goals rather than giving in to fleeting desires or distractions. Discipline shapes our character, strengthens our faith, and leads us to a purposeful life.
ReplyDeleteThe Bible emphasizes the importance of self-discipline in 2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV):
"For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline."
This verse reminds us that discipline is not merely about restriction but about empowerment. Through self-discipline, we develop the strength to overcome challenges, the love to act with kindness, and the wisdom to stay true to our purpose. It helps us grow spiritually, mentally, and emotionally, leading to a life of fulfillment and integrity.
Living with discipline means setting boundaries, staying committed to our principles, and trusting that God's guidance will lead us in the right direction. When we practice self-discipline, we not only honor ourselves but also reflect God's wisdom and grace in our daily lives.

Discipline is an ongoing journey, and while I strive to be mindful of my thoughts, words, and actions, I recognize that there are moments when I fall short. Negative thoughts can sometimes cloud my judgment, words spoken in frustration can hurt others, and impulsive actions may lead to regret. However, being aware of these weaknesses is the first step toward improvement. I must continually practice self-awareness and intentionality in my daily life.
Discipline and self-control are vital in leading a meaningful and fulfilling life. They help shape my character and allow me to grow into a better version of myself. Though challenges arise, I must remember that progress is a continuous process. By seeking guidance, staying committed, and learning from my mistakes, I can develop a stronger sense of discipline that aligns with my values and purpose.

In the moment, discipline is rarely enjoyable. It can be unpleasant, perplexing, and even demoralizing when God permits us to experience periods of chastening, whether via trials, correction, or pruning. Scripture, however, reminds us that there is always a reason for God's discipline. This Hebrews passage is frank: making corrections is difficult. It is "grievous" at the moment. It can rob us of our comfort, test our pride, or reveal our frailties. However, in God's hands, discipline is preparation rather than punishment. It is the tender correction of a father who recognizes our identity and our potential.

Repleksyon:

This devotion is all about the importance of self-discipline sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng buhay, particularly for those on a spiritual journey. The core message revolves around gaining control over one's thoughts, words, and actions. The ultimate goal of self-discipline is presented as a means to strengthen one's faith and relationship with God. Disciplined living is viewed as a path to spiritual maturity and resilience. This devotion acknowledges the ever-present challenge of temptation and the need for constant vigilance. It encourages active resistance to negative influences. While emphasizing the importance of self-control, the devotion also acknowledges the role of God's grace in overcoming challenges.
Overall, this devotion offers a practical and holistic approach to self-discipline, grounding it within a spiritual framework. It emphasizes the importance of consistent effort, perseverance, and reliance on God's grace in the journey toward self-mastery and spiritual growth.

Reflection:
Discipline is a very important part of life that we need to consider if we truly want to live better and according to God's will and purpose.
we must discipline our body we should take care of it and keep it clean, because our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19–20). It's important to choose actions that honor God, not just what feels good or easy.
Next, we should also be careful with our words. In Proverbs 13:3, it says:
Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.”
This reminds us that our tongue is powerful kaya dapat, we think not just twice, but as many times as needed before we speak or take action. Not everyone reacts the same what might be okay to one person could hurt another. So, we should always respond wisely and kindly.
When it comes to our feelings and emotions, we also need discipline. We allow anger, frustration, or sadness to take over, and we end up doing things we might regret. We have a choice on how we respond to situations. Before getting angry, we should ask ourselves: "Will this bring any good? Will this change anything?" Just like what Ephesians 4:26 says “In your anger do not sin.”
our faith also requires discipline. Through prayer, reading His Word, and obeying Him, we choose to grow spiritually. And as 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, God gave us a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline , not fear.

I, personally, go to church every Sunday, as a busy student, sobrang hectic ng schedule namin kasi kahit nasa bahay kaharap pa rin namin ung mga libro at mga materials namin, pero nilaan ko ung linggo as my rest day, to go to church and pray, mahirap kasi ung life pero with God everything can ease.

In our daily lives as students and believers, self-discipline plays a vital role in helping us grow and stay strong in faith. Just like what the Bible teaches, a person without discipline is like a city without walls—weak and vulnerable. That’s why learning to discipline our body, mind, words, and faith is so important. It may feel difficult at the moment, but discipline shapes our character, gives us strength to overcome temptations, and guides us toward a life with purpose. When we practice self-control in small things—like managing our time, choosing the right words, and setting aside moments for prayer—it prepares us to face bigger challenges in school, work, and real life. Truly, discipline today may be hard, but tomorrow it brings peace, growth, and a stronger foundation in God.

Because for me, it is about making a concious decjsion to do what you shold do and when you should do it. Discipline also allows me to communicate effectively and respectfully. Kapag galit ako, hindi ako sumisigaw at nagsasalita ng mga masasakit na salita bagkus pinapakalma ko ang aking sarili and after that, I will explain what I want to say without throwing some negativity. Moreover, discipline also reinforces accountability. When I consistently follow through with my commitments, it builds trust with my friends and family. It empahsizes the importance of proper behaviour and right conduct, which serves as a pathway for us to be a good example to others. It reminds me to stay grounded and hopeful.

Discipline has different aspects that we need to develop, control, and be consistent in our actions. It is one of the most important traits that a person must have. It is our foundation for self-growth and success. Discipline helps to stay focused on goals, overcome challenges, and have consistency
. Live a life that is grounded by discipline and commitment.. Life is like a game of chess; we don't need to speak but to act. In everything we do, discipline and temperance in action and words are important. Being disciplined takes time and commitment. Not just in our external personality but also in our internal personality. When we're disciplined enough, it's not easy to be distracted and lose hope in times of challenges.

Discipline is important for Christians, providing strength to resist desires and deepen faith. As a student and being a Christian, discipline helps me control emotions, balance study and have time to cherish the Lord . Also live according to God's word. There was many ways that affect our connection with our God. So it's important to have stronger connection to god. Cause God's word give us wisdom and direction to do what is right . for every word and action we do don't let desires win over us. Focus on having positive thoughts and following his words as his words always give us protection and guide us to be like him.

Reflection

While reading about self-discipline, I realized na ito pala yung isa sa pinaka-crucial sa Christian life.
Pero I’m reminded that I don’t have to face it alone—kasama ko si Lord. Through prayer and His Word, doon ako nakakahanap ng lakas to keep going and choose what’s right.
Kaya ang goal ko is to practice self-discipline little by little, every day. Hindi ako magiging perfect, pero as long as willing akong mag-submit kay Lord at magtiwala sa Kanya, alam kong may pagbabago. With God’s help, self-discipline becomes not just a struggle, but a victory.

Mamuhay sa Disiplina ng Sarili
Discipline is very important in our Christian life. Sabi nga sa Proverbs 25:28, “He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.”
Una, we need discipline in the body. Our body is the temple of God, so we can maintain it. Little things such as healthy eating, proper rest, at avoiding bad habits are indications that we honor our body. If we are not disciplined, it is easy for sin and temptation to creep into our life.
Pangalawa, meron tayong discipline sa isip at damdamin. Minsan, negative thoughts and feelings yata ang napapahina sa atin. Kaya nagsabi sa 2 Timothy 1:7, God gave us a sound mind.
Words are so powerful—pwede itong bagging life or hurt. If we have self-control on speaking, we can prevent hurting others with harsh or angry words. We can speak instead with grace and courtesy, such as written in Colossians 4:6, "Let your speech be always with grace."
Our spiritual discipline makes us strong.
In summary, self-discipline ain't easy pero ito ay very significant sa ating daily life and faith journey. Sa katawan, isip, pananalita, at pananampalataya—discipline makes us strong and focused. Just like Hebrews 12:11, hard kadtype minsan ang discipline pero eventually, it brings peace and righteousness. Kaya pipiliin kong mamuhay with self-discipline, dahil ito ang magbibigay ng tamang direction at closer relationship with God.

REFLECTION:
Devotional Week 02: Living in Self-Discipline
The moment I've read passage I realized that if I want to be successful in life I should have discipline within myself because a true servant of God knows how to obey His will and discipline herself/himself and if you're a servant of God there's guarantee that you'll be successful in life just as Jeremiah 29:11 stated. Believing in the Lord is good, reading His words is also good but if we don't know how to resist ourselves we're not gonna reach the full potential to please the Lord and be saved. Yes, God is a merciful God and He'll forgive us if we repent our sins but remember He's also a just God so He wants us to obey Him and with that we should know how to discipline ourselves because it's not just for Him but also for ourselves. Upon assessing myself, sometimes I also stumble and can't discipline myself as to what the discipline number 2 says that talks about the discipline of the mind and heart. Sometimes I also think about negative things that will ruin my feelings, so this passage helps me to understand that I should not let the devil win against my mind, that I should neglect those negative thoughts and exchange them with positive ones. Most especially the discipline of the faith, for me this discipline is the most important among all because letting ourselves be disciplined spiritually, just like having time to fast, read the Bible, go to church and obey His words and pray will also lead us to following all the discipline stated in the passage.

Week 2 — Mamuhay sa Disiplina ng Sarili
Self-discipline is very crucial in everyone's life. It is far beyond just taking care about our own body but discipline also for mind, speech, and faith with God, and a lack of discipline will lead us to not properly determine the bad and the good things.

Reading about Living with Self-Discipline or Mamuhay sa Disiplina sa Sarili made me realized how important it is to have self-discipline because it lasts throughout our lives and into our old age. Disiplina sa Sariling Katawan helps us to maintain the strength and health required for our daily tasks. Disiplina sa Isip at Damdamin, we can control how we respond to our problems in life, which leads to more calmer and intelligent decision-making. Disiplina sa Pananalita, on the other hand, enables us to be responsible and careful with the words we use, which improves our relationships with others. Disiplina sa Pananampalataya at Pananalangin strengthens our spiritual connection, gives us hope, and helps us through trials. Overall, these disciplines work together to shape us into people with strong character and the ability to face life with order and purpose.

Self-discipline is essential for a strong faith journey. Without it, we are vulnerable to temptations and struggles, like a city without walls. The Bible teaches that discipline covers not only our physical actions but also our thoughts, emotions, speech, and spiritual life.
We need to manage our bodies through self-control to avoid falling into sin. Our minds and emotions must be guarded against fear and negativity, focusing instead on what is true and uplifting. Our words hold great power, so we must speak with grace and wisdom. Above all, spiritual disciplines like prayer and Bible study keep us grounded in our faith.
Though living disciplined lives is challenging, God empowers us through His Spirit to overcome and stay strong in Him.

Halimbawa, kahit gusto mong magpahinga o mag-cellphone buong araw, kung may kailangan kang tapusin na school work o responsibilidad, pipiliin mong unahin 'yon. Mahirap minsan, lalo na kung andaming temptations around us, pero kapag nasanay kang i-control ang sarili mo, mas madali mong maaabot ang goals mo sa life. Mamuhay sa Disiplina ng Sarili
When we say "Mamuhay sa disiplina ng sarili" according to what I understand from the text, it means that we should learn to live with proper discipline. In whatever we do, say and think we must always observe discipline in our own selves. In addition, discipline must also be applied to our faith in God. We must commit ourselves into worshipping God in everyday to continuously grow our relationship with Him. Being disciplined is one of the most significant things that we can contribute for the peace of the world. This discipline can also help us take good care of our ownselves. Self-discipline makes a big difference not only to ourselves but also to the world. Without it, the world will be in chaos and the human life will be ruined.

Self-discipline is one of the most important values a student can practice, especially in a world full of distractions and challenges. The Bible reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:7 that “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” This means that God equips us with the strength to control our actions, the love to choose what is right, and the discipline to stay focused on our goals.
As a PASS College student, living with self-discipline means making responsible choices every day whether it is attending classes on time, studying consistently, or resisting temptations that can harm our future. It is through discipline that we build not only academic excellence but also moral character, aligning with the vision of the school to form competent leaders with strong values.
This is true for students who endure sleepless nights of studying, strict budgeting of allowances, or resisting peer pressure. Though difficult, these sacrifices shape us into responsible individuals who are prepared for life’s greater responsibilities.
In PASS College, living with self-discipline is more than just following rules it is about embodying integrity, perseverance, and faith. By practicing self-discipline, students honor God, respect their teachers and classmates, and prepare themselves to become globally competitive professionals who can serve their communities with wisdom and compassion.

Self-discipline is an important instrument that can strengthen and uphold our faith in life. In life, it is not enough to simply believe we must also live in the right way that will help us overcome any temptations and weaknesses. Our body serves as a foundation of our faith, and we can take care of it by avoiding sinful actions. In our mind and emotions, it is important to practice turning away from negative thoughts that can weaken our faith and instead replace them with things that give us strength and hope. In my life, discipline reminds me to be careful with my words so that love and grace will always prevail, to remain faithful in prayer and devotion so as not to neglect my relationship with God, and to serve as a guide for me to become a responsible, committed, and God-centered person. Each day, it becomes my weapon in choosing the right words, controlling my thoughts and emotions, and continually growing in faith.

I see that with each trial, I learn to trust God more and my faith becomes stronger. Things that used to weaken me, now become a reminder that I am not alone and that the Lord has a good plan.
It is true that discipline does not immediately produce results, but when I endure and obey, peace and righteousness from God come. So I have learned to accept the Lord's correction with gratitude, because it is a sign of His love and care for me.

Having a discipline on myself is not just having a moral but isang process or hakbang for obeying God. In the Bible having a discipline on yourself is just like a city that have a trong walls, that is protected, tough and handa sa anumang challenges. Sa panahon ng kaguluhan at temptation, discipline serves as our guide to remain focused on the will of God. Our mind is a battlefield where fear, doubt, envy, and anger often try to take root. But with God’s help, I can live with peace and clarity. What words we say we talk to other people also reflects our inner discipline; words have the power to build or destroy, so we must speak with grace, humility, and wisdom. I know that God’s grace is always available to help me rise again. By choosing to live with discipline in my thoughts, words, body, and spiritual life, I draw closer to Him and reflect His love more clearly. Each day is a new chance to surrender, to be transformed, and to walk faithfully with the strength that comes from the Lord.

Self -discipline is indeed a crucial role to stop the evil in conquering us. As a student, stress is one of our main enemies. We, as a servant of God, should know how to govern our own body and soul. It is our mind that the evil is easy to enter. We should always pray and ask God for his assistance. Do focus on the things that strengthens our faith on him. Also, our mouth has the power that can heal and can cause death. We have to analyze the situation first before speaking and also do not let our bad thoughts win over the good. A person with discipline knows how to restrain him/herself from anger, do not utter hurtful words, and always speak graciously.
Our discipline in spiritual life can be seen by praying, reading the words of God, and be faithful to Him. Be God the center of our life. Surrender our self and let Him shower us with his never-ending Glory.

Proverbs 25:28 shows us that without self-control, we become like a city without walls—defenseless and easily broken. But when we allow God to shape our discipline, we become strong, protected, and able to stand firm in faith. Discipline in our bodies helps us honor God, discipline in our minds keeps us focused on His truth, discipline in our words allows us to speak life, and discipline in our faith draws us closer to Him each day. This kind of discipline is not a burden but a blessing, because it guards our hearts, strengthens our walk, and keeps us aligned with God’s perfect will.

Self-respect is the fruit of self-discipline. This quote reminds me of Proverbs 25:28, which says, "He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls." It means that without self-control, we become vulnerable and easily to led by wrong direction. Self-discipline builds the walls that protect our values. This teaching reminds me that being a true follower of Christ requires self-discipline in every part of life—our body, mind, words, and faith. Without discipline, I can easily be led astray by temptations and lose focus on God’s purpose for me. To have discipline in the body means taking care of myself, resisting sin, and offering my life as a living sacrifice to God. Discipline in the mind helps me guard my thoughts, reject fear and negativity, and fill my heart with what is good and true. Discipline in speech teaches me to use words that build others up instead of tearing them down. Most importantly, discipline in faith and prayer keeps my relationship with God strong. It means spending time with Him daily, trusting His Word, and staying steadfast even when life gets difficult. Self-discipline may not always be easy, but as Hebrews 12:11 says, it produces “the peaceable fruit of righteousness.” Through God’s grace, I can become stronger, wiser, and more faithful each day.

1. Ako ba ay may disiplina sa aking isipan, pananalita, at kilos?

As a student, it's easy to get distracted by social media, friends, or just feeling tired. The devotional "Mamuhay sa Disiplina ng Sarili" shows how important self-discipline is for staying focused not only in school but also in our faith. Without discipline, it's like being a city without walls, open to distractions and struggles that can pull us down. It reminds us to take care of our bodies by getting enough rest and avoiding bad habits, to keep our minds positive and free from worry, and to choose our words carefully because they affect others. Most importantly, having discipline in our prayer and relationship with God helps us stay strong during tough times. Though self-discipline can be challenging, especially with all the temptations around us, with God’s help, we can develop the strength to keep going, grow academically, and deepen our faith every day.

1. As a student, I sometimes struggle with discipline in my thoughts, speech, and actions, especially when stress from schoolwork overwhelms me. My mind often gets distracted by worries, making it hard to focus on my studies. There are times when I say things out of frustration that I later regret. I also find it challenging to maintain productive habits consistently, sometimes feeling tempted to procrastinate or neglect my responsibilities. Acknowledging these struggles helps me to be more intentional and work towards better self-control.
2. To strengthen my spiritual discipline, I try to dedicate time daily for prayer and reading the Bible, even with my busy schedule. Participating in church activities or joining fellowship groups provides encouragement and helps me stay connected to God. I rely on God’s guidance to help me face challenges and grow in faith, understanding that spiritual discipline supports all areas of life. Consistency in these practices gradually builds my inner strength and resilience.
3. I need to overcome temptations like procrastination, distractions from social media, and impulsive decisions that can harm my academic progress and personal growth. It’s important for me to control my words, especially when feeling upset, to avoid hurting others. I also want to resist the urge to give up when tasks become difficult, choosing instead to persevere. By exercising self-restraint and relying on God’s help, I can cultivate discipline that leads to success academically and deeper spiritual maturity.

yes i have self discipline because i strive to live a life that honors Jesus. Discipline is the key to grow the faith on him and live a life that pleases him. To do this we need to have a discipline in our minds, speech, and actions:
Minds:
•Read the bible daily
-we learn from God’s words and apply it on our lives.
•Think about good things
-we should think the good things and not the bad things.
•Focus on God’s love
-we can focus on God’s love for us and let that love guide us on the good things.
Speech:
•Speak kindly
-we should speak kindly to others just like how God speak kindly to us.
•Use words that build up
-we should use words that build up others not to hurt them or tear them down.
•Speak truthfully
-we should always speak truthfully and honestly as always.
Actions:
•Serve others
-we can serve others with love and kindness just like how God severed us.
•Use our talents wisely
-we can use our talents to serve others and to glorify our God.
•Live a life that honors God
-we should live a life that honors God on everything that we do.

This verse reminds us that God’s discipline may be painful and difficult while we are going through it, but it has a purpose. Just like how a loving parent corrects a child for their good, God allows challenges and corrections in our lives to shape our character. Through trials, we learn obedience, patience, and humility. When we submit to His discipline, we eventually experience the “peaceable fruit of righteousness”—a life that is more aligned with God’s will and filled with His peace. So instead of resisting correction or hardship, we can trust that God is using them to make us stronger and more faithful followers of Christ.

1. Maglaan ng oras araw-araw para manalangin . Kahit 10 minuto sa umaga at bago matulog.
2. Magbasa ng Bible o daily devotional kahit isang verse bawat araw.

Sometimes I struggle with discipline, especially when someone or things triggers me. To address this kind of situation, I'll try my best to things this out through journal because I believe that every time doing this it can release anger and make myself calm. Above all, I ask God to help me to face this problem. To strengthen my spiritual discipline, I'll practice to have a 30mins or 1 hour talking to God through prayer and worship him. I’ll work to overcome temptations like distractions, self-doubt, and impulsive decisions that hinder my growth.

(Give your personal answer)

Proverbs 25:28 says, "Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control." Without discipline, we are open to sin and temptation. But when we control our thoughts, words, and actions, and choose God’s way over our own desires, we build strong walls of protection around our hearts. Self-discipline it's about staying close to God and living in a way that honors Him.
Self-discipline in a spiritual context is about aligning our desires, actions, and habits with God's will. It's a conscious effort to cultivate a deeper relationship with Him, leading to greater faith, character, and love. Through self-discipline, we can overcome worldly challenges and live a life that honors God, resulting in spiritual fulfillment and peace.

It is important to have self-discipline so that we can remain strong and have self-control when we are angry because we forget our selves and our lord. A person who does not have self-discipline is weak and quickly falls into temptation, sin, and chaos in life.

When I let go of my own thoughts and plans, I know it strengthens my spiritual discipline.

(Give your personal answer)
Ps. Pasensya po for late submission as I have an urgent matter to do.

(Give your personal answer)
