Pagpapalago ng Pananampalataya:
Laging Umuunlad
Pagbasa ng Kasulatan: 1 Pedro 1:13–2:5
Pagninilay:

We must grow not only physically but also spiritually. Baby needs milk, while adults can able to chew solid food—spiritually speaking, we are meant to grow. To grow spiritually, we need to begin with the basics: praying, reading and meditating on God’s word, and living in obedience to Him. God desires our growth, not for us to remain stagnant like still water where mosquitoes breed.

The word of God is very important. It serves as the milk for the growth of our spiritual relationship with the Lord. One of the ways to communicate with the Lord is through reading the Bible, in order for us to have a good relationship with the Lord.
ReplyDeleteI believe that faith should always grow, just like how a baby needs food to grow strong. God's Word is our spiritual food that strengthens us and deepens our relationship with Him. By opening our hearts to His teachings, renewing our minds, and living a holy life, we become stronger and continue to grow in faith.

As a new believer it is also important to always sek for His guidance in everything we do.

To strengthen faith in God, I should be personal and spiritual, sincere, dedicated, and open-hearted. Reading bibles will help us to grow holistically, as it leads us to goodness and right decisions in life. Just like a milk baby needs it to be full, the same in our lives; we need the words of God to develop life perspective and lifestyle. The words of God are a powerful source of guidance, comfort, and transformation in life. It provides wisdom, strength, and purpose in our journey. It helps to make sense in our lives. Also, in order to become close to God, I should always remember what Jesus would do. In order to make my decisions and actions right. Remember that growing in faith means letting God come into our lives. Every day is an opportunity to become closer to him. Let faith and devotion to God grow in ourselves and in others. Based on what I have read, faith is a continuous journey—it doesn’t stop at the first step but grows every day. As 1 Peter 2:2 says, we must crave God’s word to grow spiritually. It’s not enough to just listen once; we need to make reading and living His teachings a part of our daily lives. In this way, we gradually change and draw closer to Him. Our growth in faith is not just seen in what we know but in how we act—by being kind to others, staying faithful to God, and following His will.

Don’t be afraid of making mistakes as you grow in hearing God’s voice. You probably will make some mistakes, as we all do, but you can learn from them. God loves you, and as long as your heart is right and you want to learn, He will work with you, teaching you to recognize His voice. Just remember that God never says anything to us that doesn’t agree with His Word.

Growing in Faith: Always Progressing
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."
—Hebrews 12:1 (NIV)
Faith is like a plant—it won’t grow unless it’s watered, exposed to light, and properly cared for. In the same way, our spiritual life needs constant nurturing through prayer, reading the Word, and living according to God’s will.
Sometimes, we face challenges that seem to weaken our faith. But instead of giving up, these are moments to hold on even tighter to God. A faith that is always progressing isn’t perfect, but it stays strong even in weakness. Growth isn’t always fast, but it’s sure if we remain faithful and obedient.

Faith is meant to keep growing and moving forward, never staying the same. Growth in faith comes from a deep desire for God’s Word, because His Word gives strength, guidance, and life to our spirit. As we continue to read, reflect, and live by it, we are called to leave behind old habits that do not please Him and instead choose a life that is holy. Holiness is not just about outward actions but about a heart and mind that are set apart for God, showing His goodness in the way we live each day. Our lives become a witness of His light, showing others that He is real and present. At the same time, faith is not only personal but also shared, because we are part of a spiritual family. Together, we are like living stones being built into God’s house, each one important and connected, showing His kingdom here on earth. In this way, faith is always active fed by God’s Word, shaped by holy living, and strengthened by community to bringing us closer to Him day by day.

As the years passed, I gradually became a person who truly believes in God. There came a point in my life when I fully surrendered everything to Him and chose to place my complete trust in His plans. Growing up with faith, God helped me realize that this is the right path for me, because in everything I do, I put Him first. To grow more closer to God, I believe I must continue building a strong relationship with Him. This means accepting both the blessings and the lessons that life brings, and most importantly, applying His words as written in the Bible. Living a life of good actions and avoiding sin is not easy, because no one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes. But making an effort to move away from sin is a process that draws me nearer to God. I've learned to confront my flaws and make changes by accepting responsibility for my actions and acknowledging my faults. This has taught me to be humble, mature, and have a stronger faith. Last but not least, I make an effort to love people as much as I love myself which mirrors God's love in everything I do.

For me, becoming closer to the Lord is not just about rituals, but about living a life that reflects His love. I strengthen my relationship with Him each day through prayer, by reading His Word, and by choosing kindness even in difficult moments. Prayer allows me to open my heart to God, to thank Him, and to seek His guidance in everything that I do. Moreover, choosing kindness especially when situations test my patience, is my way of putting His teachings into action and reflecting His love to others. I believe that true closeness to God is shown when we forgive, when we serve others, and when we live with humility. By making Him the center of my actions and decisions, I know that I am not only strengthening my faith, but also inspiring others to seek Him in their own lives. For me, it is not enough that I simply know God; I should also pray, visit the church, read what He has written for me, and trust in Him. As one of His creations in this world, I believe that I should always pray not only when I need something from Him, but at all times, especially in giving thanks for all the blessings He has given me. One important thing I also do is visit the church, because it is a place where I can clearly talk to God and freely share everything in my heart with Him. I also believe that reading the Bible is important because through it I learn how much the Lord loves me, and I gain many valuable lessons from Him. Lastly, I should always trust in Him, because in today’s world many problems come into my life, and the only thing I can do is trust in Him, knowing that He will never abandon or leave me. No father can leave his child, just as it is written in Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This reminds me that even if everyone leaves me, the Lord will never leave me, and because of this, I choose to continue trusting in Him, remain faithful in prayer, and live according to His Word, knowing that God is my constant source of strength, hope, and guidance in every season of my life.

Above all, pinipili kong magtiwala sa Diyos. Tulad ng sinasabi sa Isaiah 41:10, “Do not fear, for I am with you… I will strengthen you and help you.”

When we pray, show kindness, and tell others about His love, our faith grows even faster. It’s not just about what we know in our heads; it’s about how we live and help people every day. A powerful way to draw nearer to God is by practicing "BREAD," which stands for Bible Study, Reflection, Engagement, and Devotion. First, Bible Study means dedicating time to explore God's word through reading and meditation, gaining wisdom and understanding of His teachings. Second, Reflection involves pausing to think deeply about our experiences and how they align with God's plan, fostering personal insight and repentance. Third, Engagement encourages us to actively participate in acts of service or sharing faith with others, living out our beliefs in the world. Finally, Devotion reminds us to offer our hearts fully to God through consistent prayer and worship, building a lifelong commitment. Embracing "BREAD" nurtures our spiritual bond with Jesus and the Father, leading to deeper faith, inner peace, and a life transformed by divine love.

FRIDAY: 12:30 - 1:30
Growing in faith means taking small, everyday steps to deepen my relationship with God by trusting in His guidance, reflecting on His Word, and living according to His will. It is a lifelong journey of spiritual growth and self-reflection, learning from mistakes, seeking support from others, and gradually becoming a better person through His love and wisdom. It also means being patient with myself, staying committed even when life gets challenging, and finding ways to serve and encourage others as I grow closer to God.

FRIDAY (12:30pm - 1:30pm)

FRIDAY 12:30-1:30
For us to become closer to God, we must acknowledge His presence first by means of including Him in our everyday life. A single step closer to Him is still progress no matter how small the step is. And as for me, I will forever stay grateful for His blessings, and I will show my thanks through prayers. To be closer to Him, I will keep growing in faith and build my relationship with Him daily. I will make our relationship as strong as I make Him my absolute pillar of support, who makes me strong through ups and downs. I will live with Him as the center of my life, do what pleases Him, and live according to His purpose for me. Jesus' teachings will become my foundation as I live by His example to become closer to God.

Faith for me is like a journey that keeps moving forward. God wants me to not just believe in Him, but to grow and live differently. By reading His words, I find peace and direction in my life. His words reminds me His love and helps me choose what is right. God is teaching me to free my mind in every thing I do. I may not be perfect, but I will stay rooted by His words, and to grow each day in faith.

FRIDAY 12:30-1:30
Spiritual growth is a continuous journey where believers are called to mature in their faith. God’s Word nourishes and strengthens us, helping us grow just as milk helps a baby develop. As we renew our minds and live in obedience, we reflect God’s holiness in our daily lives. True maturity is shown through sincere love for others and by fulfilling our role as living stones in building God’s spiritual house.

As I read the passage, it had taught me that being a new believer is a first step of our path towards building our relationship with God. We must realize that faith is not a destination but a continuous process. Based on the word of God, that I read, "Just as a child cannot thrive without nourishment, our spirit requires constant devotional time to remain vibrant and strong." Being a new believer is merely the foundation, the goal is to be constantly growing, maturing, and deepening our intimacy with God. This verse teaches us that our hunger for the word of God should be as natural and urgent as a newborn’s cry for milk. This daily "feeding" ensures that we do not remain stagnant. By consistently seeking Him, we transform our initial step of faith into a lifelong walk of grace, strength, and spiritual maturity.
To deepen our relationship with God as we thread our path in life, we must embrace our ongoing faith and devotion that evolves as we grow. It is not enough to remain stagnant in what we learned as children, true faith requires a daily, active commitment to seeking His presence through prayer and the Word. By cultivating a "devotional" lifestyle, we allow our spiritual roots to sink deeper even when the storms of life intensify. As we "grow and go," we transform every experience into an opportunity for worship, ensuring that our trust in Him isn't just a habit, but a living, breathing part of our identity that matures alongside us.

The message is about continuous spiritual growth. Being a Christian is not just about believing once it is about growing every day in your relationship with God.
It reminds us that we are not just individuals—we are called “living stones”, meaning each of us has a role in building God’s spiritual house. Our lives should help strengthen others and bring glory to God.

Growing in faith requires making the decision to follow Christ, letting go of old habits, and learning to live in holiness. It doesn't happen on its own. When we obey God, His goodness is evident in our lives, and our words and deeds become a model that leads people to Him. Growth isn't always simple because we encounter difficulties, temptations, and frailties, but God's grace gives us courage at every turn. His word is always reliable and helps us maintain our faith.

FRIDAY 9:15-10:15
Faith is like a seed planted in our hearts. It does not grow overnight; it needs care, patience, and trust in God. We grow in faith when we spend time in prayer, read God’s Word, and rely on Him in both good and difficult times. Each challenge we face is an opportunity to trust Him more deeply. Sometimes our faith feels small, especially when life becomes overwhelming. Yet God uses those very moments to strengthen us. As we continue to seek Him, our faith becomes stronger, steadier, and more rooted in His love.
Lord, help me grow in my faith each day. Teach me to trust You more and to rely on Your promises in every situation. Amen.

FRIDAY 12:30–1:30
As I draw closer to God each day, I often ask myself, “What should I do to become even closer to Him?” This question reminds me to reflect on my actions, strengthen my faith, and live according to His will. As a member of our church’s music ministry, I see my service not just as singing or playing music, but as a way to lead others into worship and express my love for God. Through every practice, performance, and quiet moment of prayer, I strive to offer my talents wholeheartedly, glorify His name, and continually deepen my personal relationship with Him.

Every day as I get closer to God, I always ask myself what else I can do to be even closer to Him. First, I make sure I have time to pray and read the Bible – it’s like talking to Him and learning what He wants to tell me. I try my best to be nice all the time, do the right thing and not hurt anyone’s feelings. I also make sure to be thankful for all the good things He gives me. And when I share His love with the people around me, I feel even closer to Him.
