THE CALL TO DIVINE RENEWAL
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion…”
— Genesis 1:26–27 (KJV)
In the beginning, the Eternal Father breathed into man His own Spirit and likeness. Man was not made a mortal creature struggling for survival, but a divine vessel carrying the breath of the Almighty. He was formed from the dust of the earth, yet quickened by the Spirit of God to live in perfect harmony — spirit, soul, and body — bearing the radiance of divine glory. The Hebrew phrase “b’tzelem Elohim” (in the image of God) describes not only resemblance but representation: man was designed to manifest the invisible God in visible form upon the earth.
When Adam walked in the Garden, he walked clothed with light. His consciousness was united with God’s presence; his mind was clear and his body immortal. There was no trace of decay, disease, or death, for he partook of the life of the Creator Himself. His thoughts, emotions, and actions flowed in seamless rhythm with the divine will. In this state, man fulfilled his original calling — to rule creation in righteousness and reflect the glory of his Maker.
🌿 The Fall: When Corruption Entered and Mortality Began
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men…”
— Romans 5:12 (KJV)
But when man turned from God’s voice and followed self-will, something catastrophic occurred: the divine current of life that sustained him was broken. Separation from the Source of Life introduced a new condition — corruption. What once was immortal began to degenerate; what once was luminous became darkened. Man’s body, which had been the temple of divine energy, began to wither under the weight of sin. His mind, once aligned with heaven’s wisdom, was clouded by fear and confusion.
The glory departed, and mortality began its slow reign. The image was not erased, but it was marred. The Spirit that animated man withdrew, and flesh returned to dust. Yet even in the midst of judgment, the promise of redemption glimmered. The same God who formed man from the earth would one day breathe upon humanity again — this time through His Son.
✝️ Redemption: The Return of Divine Life through Christ
“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you,
he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies
by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
— Romans 8:11 (KJV)
In the fullness of time, the Word became flesh. Jesus Christ, the second Adam, stepped into the fallen world to restore what was lost. He embodied the original pattern — man perfectly indwelt by God. He said, “I and my Father are one.” In Him, the image of God was fully manifested again.
Through His death and resurrection, Christ did not merely purchase forgiveness; He released the divine life that would renew man from the inside out. The Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is the same Spirit that now indwells the believer, quickening mortal flesh and renewing corrupted nature. Salvation, therefore, is not only deliverance from sin but participation in divine vitality.
This is the mystery Paul declared: “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” The same Spirit who hovered over the chaos in Genesis now hovers within the believer, recreating, transforming, and energizing every cell with resurrection life.
🌺 Partakers of the Divine Nature
“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness,
through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:
that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,
having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
— 2 Peter 1:3–4 (KJV)
This is the call to divine renewal — not to reform a corrupted life, but to awaken the divine seed implanted by grace. Through the knowledge of Christ and the indwelling Spirit, we become partakers of the divine nature. The Greek word koinōnos translated as “partakers” means sharers or partners — not distant recipients, but living participants of God’s very essence.
The believer’s journey, therefore, is one of transformation into the likeness of Christ — to think His thoughts, speak His words, and manifest His life. The same life that flowed through Jesus flows now in every regenerated believer. This life is not bound by decay, for it springs from eternity itself.
When Moses stood upon Mount Nebo at one hundred and twenty years old, Scripture records, “his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.” (Deuteronomy 34:7) Why? Because he lived in the constant presence of God. He reflected the light of divine communion — even his face shone with glory.
This is not myth; it is divine potential. When the Israelites came out of Egypt, “there was not one feeble person among their tribes” (Psalm 105:37). When they rested in obedience to the Sabbath — the covenant of renewal — their bodies and souls were restored, just as we partake of the Lord’s Table today, receiving the same life of the eternal Christ.
🌞 Immortality Brought to Light
“But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ,
who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”
— 2 Timothy 1:10 (KJV)
Christ did not come merely to save the soul from damnation; He came to reveal the mystery of divine immortality — life that transcends decay. The gospel is the unveiling of immortality, the revelation that death has been defeated and eternal life is available now through union with Christ.
When Paul was bitten by a venomous serpent and suffered no harm (Acts 28:3–6), it was not an anomaly but a demonstration of divine life at work in a mortal body. When Peter’s shadow healed the sick, it was the overflow of the indwelling Spirit animating human form. When Jesus said, “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do,” (John 14:12) He was not exaggerating but declaring the destiny of redeemed humanity.
The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead is transforming the sons and daughters of God into living conduits of divine energy. This renewal begins in the spirit, reshapes the mind, and radiates through the body until every cell vibrates with resurrection life.
🌿 The Vision of the Hebraic Path
The Hebraic Path of Divine Renewal calls every believer back to the root — to walk again in the ancient rhythm of creation: Teshuva (return), Tefilah (communion), Hitbodedut (reflection), Tzedakah (love in action), and Machashavah (sanctified imagination). These are not rituals, but living conduits that restore harmony between body, soul, and spirit under the lordship of the Messiah.
This path is not about escaping the physical world but transforming it — bringing heaven into flesh, eternity into time, and divinity into daily life. It is the restoration of the Edenic walk, the renewal of the body as the temple of the Spirit, and the fulfillment of Christ’s words: “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee.” (John 17:21)
The call to divine renewal is, therefore, a call to live as Jesus lived on earth — full of the Holy Spirit, radiant in love, unbroken by death, and overflowing with life.

"The Call to Divine Renewal" reminds us about our spiritual journey and connection with God. We were created in God's image, but sin messed things up. Jesus came to fix that, offering us a "divine renewal"—a chance to start over. This means we can all change for the better. We can be kinder, more loving, and more at peace. It's like upgrading our spiritual selves. Kumbaga inaayos Ng Diyos 'yong kalooban natin para maging mas malapit tayo sa Kaniya. As students, this means studying hard, helping others, and doing what's right. "The Call to Divine Renewal" is a reminder that God is always with us, guiding us on our journey, kaya huwag dapat tayong mawalan ng pag-asa.

My Reflection: The Call to Divine Renewal
This devotion beautifully reminds me that we were created in the image of God — not just to exist, but to reflect His love, light, and glory through our lives.
Yet, God’s love never gave up on us. Through Jesus Christ, He made a way to bring us back to life — to renew our hearts and restore our true purpose. God’s Spirit can lift us, heal us, and make us whole again.
It’s about letting God breathe new life into our hearts, teaching us to live with love, patience, and faith. Kaya kapag nakakaramdam tayo ng pagod, panghihina, o kawalan ng gana sa buhay, alalahanin natin: God can renew us every day.
His power can turn darkness into light, weakness into strength, and pain into purpose. Kaya huwag kang susuko — God is not finished with you yet. Keep your heart open, keep your faith alive, and let His Spirit make all things new in you. 🌿✨

Reflection: The Call to Divine Renewal
This devotional made me realize na from the start, God created us to reflect His image — pure, alive, and close to Him. Pero dahil sa sin, we lost that connection and started to live by our own will. Still, God didn’t give up on us. Through Jesus, He gave us another chance to be renewed and to live with His Spirit again.
For me, divine renewal means allowing God to fix what’s broken inside — our hearts, minds, and purpose. It’s not just about changing on the outside, but being transformed from within. Every day, we’re called to go back to God, to think like Him, and to live in His light.
In short, this reminds me that real renewal starts when we let God breathe new life in us — so we can reflect His love and goodness wherever we go.

REFLECTION:
The Call To Divine Renewal
This passage shows us that God created us by His own likeness and that we are designed to manifest the invisible God in visible form upon the earth and one of our calling is to rule creation in righteousness and reflect the glory of our Maker. But then sin came that separated us from God though not thoroughly the image of the Lord in us erased but it became damaged. Then Jesus came for our rescue and became our hope. He redeemed us from our sin and linked us to the Lord so that we can still do what is our calling, that is to reflect the glory and will of the Lord here on earth as of the moment that we're still living. So we are saved not just to be safe, seated and satisfied but rather is to partake in divine vitality wherein we do not live our life just to please ourselves but to share in God's own life, goodness and love as John 14:12 stated, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do,”. We should not be scared to follow Jesus because He says in His words that He will not leave us and that the Holy Spirit will guide us. So the call to divine renewal is to be willing to be renewed by God and to live how Jesus Christ lived and we can make it by reading and applying the words of God in our daily life.

Ito ay isang pagtawag sa atin na maging "full of the Holy Spirit, radiant in love, unbroken by death, and overflowing with life".

The call of divine renewal is God’s reminder to return to how He first created us not merely to live ordinary lives and get by, but to live with His Spirit guiding and filling us. For a long time, I lived drained by self-reliance, chasing tasks, carrying stress, and feeling the heavy weight of fear and doubt. Though I believed in God, I often forgot that I was created in His image, meant to carry His Spirit. At times, I could not feel His presence in my life. Then came a moment of realization. I prayed, “Lord, I don’t just want survival. I want Your life in me again.” I asked Him to restore the strength of my faith. I know this renewal does not happen instantly, but I believe that with His guidance, one day I will be restored to the person He intended me to be. From that prayer onward, I began to experience renewal. Romans 8:11 reminded me that the same Spirit who raised Jesus dwells in me even in my mortal body. Slowly, I noticed small changes: peace in my emotions and strength in my mind whenever I surrendered my burdens. Now, Christ renews me daily. His Spirit reshapes my thoughts, restores my soul, and strengthens my body. I can say that divine renewal is not just a concept but a reality.

THE CALL TO DIVINE RENEWAL
REFLECTION:
This topic causes me to recall that God made humans in His likeness so that they could live in His presence and show His traits. However, sin brought about a breach in that relationship. Jesus Christ provided us this opportunity to be re-created and reformed back to the image of God. The Holy Spirit leads us to live out love, righteousness, and purpose. The Bible states, “Be renewed in the spirit of your mind” (Ephesians 4:23 KJV)—real transformation starts from the inside, when we let God change our hearts and lives daily.

Reflection: The Call to Divine Renewal
Life was perfect when God created everything, no death or sickness existed.
When sin came in through man’s choice, it broke that perfect life, causing death, suffering, and separation from God.
Jesus Christ came back to life to bring us back to that perfect life by defeating sin and death through His resurrection.
Because of Jesus, we can have a new life connected to God, not just forgiveness but also a transformed, eternal life. Believers are called to live this new life by following Jesus, growing in His Spirit, and becoming more like Him every day.
I believed that living vlose to God gives strength and brightness to our lives. So we need to live in harmony with God through prayer, love, and actions.

Through Jesus Christ, ibinalik ni Lord ‘yung original design natin. Hindi lang tayo pinatawad, kundi binigyan ng new life, life na puno ng Kanyang Spirit. Kaya every day, we’re called to live in His presence, to love, to forgive, and to shine His light sa mundo.
I realized na just like how God renews our spirit, kailangan din natin ng renewal sa attitude at purpose natin. Minsan kasi, dahil sa stress at pressure, nakakalimutan natin kung bakit tayo nagsisikap, pero through Christ, we’re reminded to live with honesty, integrity, and purpose. However, that first glory was damaged by sin, and we started to live in weakness and brokenness. However, God did not abandon us despite our fallen condition. Being complete again and reflecting His nature in our thoughts, actions, and love is more important than simply receiving forgiveness. As I think about this, I see that God wants me to get closer to Him, to come back, to be rebuilt, and to live every day with the light and life He has always meant for His children.

God made us to be more than just normal people because he created us to carry his Spirit and reflect his image in the world. Dapat sana we lived in harmony with him sa spirit mind and body, pero nasira ito dahil sa sin. Through Jesus and the Holy Spirit pwede tayong ma renew at mabalik sa life na gusto talaga ni God para sa atin. This new life is not just about being forgiven but also about experiencing God’s love and power in every part of our being and letting it guide our thoughts words and actions. As we follow Jesus and listen to the Spirit unti unti tayong nababago from the inside at nagiging mas katulad niya sa way natin mag think feel and live. Dahil dito nakakapag bring tayo ng God’s light and goodness sa home school work at community, at naaalala natin na kahit broken ang mundo pwede pa rin nating maranasan ang life love and joy ni God every day.

CV 3 FRIDAY (9:45-10:45)
This passage made me realize kung gaano tayo ka–valuable kay God. From the start, He made us in His image, ibig sabihin we are meant to reflect His goodness and to live close to Him. Pero dahil sa sin, nasira yung connection na ’yun, kaya people experience pain, weakness, and even death.
Ang pinaka-nagstand out sa’kin is that Jesus came para ibalik yung life na nawala. Hindi lang Siya namatay para patawarin tayo, but He also came para mapuno ulit tayo ng God’s Spirit at makapamuhay ng bagong klaseng life. It made me realize na being a Christian is not just about following rules, but letting God change us from the inside.
He shares His life with us. Ibig sabihin we can live with purpose and strength, knowing na God’s Spirit is working in us every day.

Reflection: The Call to Divine Renewal
The Call to Divine Renewal” reminds me that renewal is not just a change in habits—but a deep transformation that starts in the heart. It is God’s gentle invitation to return, realign, and refresh our spirit in His presence. Many times, life becomes heavy with responsibilities, failures, and regrets. I find myself tired not only physically but spiritually. Yet in moments like these, God calls me to pause and allow His renewing grace to restore what has been worn down.Divine renewal means letting go of the old—old sins, old attitudes, old fears—and embracing the new life that God continues to offer. It teaches me that change is possible not by my own strength but by God’s power working within me. Every time I pray or open His Word, I feel that I am being rebuilt slowly but surely. His mercy becomes my strength, and His love becomes my reason to keep going. This call also challenges me to examine my life: Are my choices drawing me closer to God or pulling me away? Am I allowing Him to renew my thoughts, my actions, and my relationships? Renewal is not a one-time event; it is a daily decision to walk in the light, choosing obedience over comfort and faith over fear.
