The Five Solas of the Reformation teach that faith should be centered completely on God. Sola Scriptura reminds me that the Bible is the ultimate guide for truth and daily living. My takeaway from Soli Deo Gloria is that everything in life, especially salvation, should point back to God’s glory alone. The verses from Isaiah and Ephesians remind me that God does not share His glory with anyone because He alone is worthy of praise, worship, and honor. Human achievements, good works, or religious efforts cannot save us or take credit for what only God can do.
Ephesians 1 clearly shows that the Father’s choosing, the Son’s redemption, and the Holy Spirit’s sealing all work together for one purpose: “to the praise of His glory.” This teaches me that salvation is not centered on man but on God’s grace, mercy, and holiness. We are saved not because we deserve it, but because God is gracious and faithful.
