    FRIDAY

God wants us to live in a way that honors Him in everything we do—how we live, how we learn, and how we serve others. This means choosing what is right, even when it's hard. It means doing your best in school, at work, and in helping others—not to please people, but to please God.

In life, honoring God means being kind, honest, and loving. It’s about making choices that reflect His character.

In study, it means doing your schoolwork or learning with excellence and integrity, because your efforts can glorify Him.

In service, it means helping others with a cheerful heart, putting others' needs before your own, just like Jesus did.

You don’t have to be perfect. God looks at your heart. When you choose to live with His standards in mind, He will guide you, bless your efforts, and use your life to make a difference.

One area I can improve in my schoolwork and responsibilities to better glorify God is developing a stronger sense of diligent planning and prioritization. Instead of reacting to deadlines or tasks haphazardly, I can proactively map out my work, setting realistic goals and allocating sufficient time for each. This would allow me to complete assignments to the best of my ability, reflecting God's care and precision in my work, rather than rushing and potentially producing subpar results. This improved organizational skill will allow me to serve others more effectively and use my talents more efficiently for His glory.

    3. Activity:
✅ Recall a group project where teamwork led to a better outcome. What made the teamwork effective?
In a high school history project on the Philippine Revolution, our group's success stemmed from effective communication and shared responsibility. We started by clearly defining individual roles based on each member's strengths, ensuring everyone felt ownership of a specific part of the project. Regular meetings, both in-person and online, facilitated open discussion and allowed us to address challenges collaboratively. Crucially, we fostered an environment of mutual respect and support, where everyone felt comfortable sharing ideas and providing constructive feedback. This open communication prevented misunderstandings and ensured we were all on the same page throughout the process, resulting in a high-quality final presentation that exceeded our individual capabilities.
    4. Reflection:
👉 What is one habit or skill you need to improve this semester to grow in excellence?
This semester, I need to improve my proactive research and information gathering skills. Instead of waiting until the last minute to begin research for assignments, I need to develop the habit of starting early and conducting thorough research, exploring diverse sources to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the topic. This proactive approach will not only improve the quality of my work but also reduce stress and allow for more thoughtful analysis and critical thinking.
    • Academic Effort: 4 - I consistently put in effort, but there's always room for improvement in terms of proactive planning and time management.
    • Teamwork and Respect for Others: 5 - I value collaboration and actively contribute to a positive team environment, showing respect for diverse perspectives.

    1. I think I need to work on putting more heart into my schoolwork. Sometimes I rush just to finish things on time, but I realize that doing my best — even in small tasks — is a way of honoring God. I want to shift my mindset and treat every assignment like it's something I'm offering to Him.

    2. *Time management – I often procrastinate, so I want to learn how to plan better.

*Speaking in front of people – I get nervous, so I want to grow more confident.

*Writing – I want to express my thoughts more clearly, especially in essays.

    3. I remember a project in Values Ed where we had to make a short film. Everyone had different roles — writing the script, editing, acting, etc. What made it work was how well we communicated and how we supported each other. No one was left behind, and we were all willing to help when someone needed it. That made a big difference.

4.I need to be more consistent with my study habits. I tend to cram when there’s a quiz or a deadline. I want to build a habit of studying a little every day so I don’t get overwhelmed. I know I’ll learn better that way — and it shows I'm taking my responsibilities seriously.

    5.Academic Effort – 4

Teamwork and Respect for Others – 3

    Personal Discipline – 2

Contribution to Community Life – 3

I gave myself the lowest score in Personal Discipline. I think one thing I can start doing is creating a simple daily routine — like setting specific times to study, rest, and even pray. Just having structure might help me stay more focused and intentional.

‎What is the one thing you can improve in how you approach your school work or responsibilities for God's glory ?

‎One meaningful way to approach schoolwork or responsibilities in a way that honors God is by developing diligence and integrity. This means striving to do your best—not for grades or recognition, but as a reflection of your faith. It involves avoiding procrastination, staying organized, and putting genuine effort into your tasks. It also means choosing honesty over taking shortcuts, helping your classmates, and using your gifts to uplift others, not just yourself.

‎Three Areas for Improvement This School Year:

‎1. Time Management – I struggle with managing my time well. I dislike being rushed, but I often procrastinate, which affects the quality of my work. I also tend to move slowly, which wastes a lot of time.

‎2. Patience – As a future educator, I want to develop greater patience and learn to be more understanding and composed.

‎3. Social Skills – People often assume I’m unfriendly because of my natural facial expression. I’m introverted, and my social energy runs out quickly, so I want to improve how I connect and interact with others.

‎I remember a Girl Scouts project during my high school year where our group finished everything as planned and on time. The teamwork was effective because everyone was involved and motivated. We were all productive, took initiative, practiced self-discipline, and communicated well with each other.

‎This semester, I want to improve my time management and self-discipline. I believe that learning to manage my time well will help me handle school tasks more effectively and keep my lifestyle balanced. These two skills are key to doing well in school and maintaining good grades. Excellence isn’t just about natural ability—it’s about wisely using your time, staying consistent, and making small, meaningful efforts daily, like setting priorities and realistic goals.

One thing I can improve in how I approach my schoolwork is being more consistent and intentional with my time. Sometimes I tend to procrastinate or rush through tasks just to get them done. But if I want to honor God with my work, I need to give my best, even in the small things. By managing my time wisely, staying focused, and doing my work with excellence, I can reflect a heart that wants to glorify God, not just earn good grades.

    1. Public Speaking – To communicate more confidently during presentations and group discussions.
    2. Critical Thinking – To analyze problems better and come up with thoughtful, well-reasoned solutions.
3.Time Management – So I can balance academics, responsibilities, and rest more effectively.

I often delay tasks until the last minute, which affects the quality of my work and adds unnecessary stress.
