‘TEAM SUKA VS. SINUSUKA’

‘TEAM SUKA VS. SINUSUKA’
PDP-LABAN KICKS OFF WITH A BOOM
What happened in Laoag was the exact opposite of what took place in San Juan City. If it was a sign of things to come, it’s safe to say that the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino’s proclamation rally radiated fervor, enthusiasm, political savvy, and a winning mindset.
The energy emanated from a political giant—“ang pinakamagaling na Pangulo,” as Sen. Robinhood Padilla put it—Former President Rodrigo Duterte.
As usual, mainstream media would highlight FPRRD’s crass joke about "k*lling" the administration’s senatorial candidates, but for those with a broader perspective (and certainly for the cool crowd), it was just a joke with double meaning.
But what truly stole the show were the suka (vinegar) punchlines.
In Ilocos Norte a few nights ago, the British-educated President was given a line which he delivered a bit off-mark. Instead of saying “nautusan lang bumili ng suka,” he said “nag-deliver lang ng suka.” What can we expect from someone so out of touch with reality? Aside from lacking comedic timing and charisma, delivering punchlines is clearly not PBBM’s strong suit.
Now, back to suka. Former Executive Secretary to PBBM, Atty. He was followed by Atty.
Atty. Rodriguez also expressed gratitude to FPRRD for including him in the PDP slate.
Senator Bato Dela Rosa remained his usual self—an unwavering defender of the Dutertes, the Filipino people, and the war on illegal drugs. He’s the embodiment of consistency and loyalty. “Bakit nila tayo tinitira? Dahil ba takot sila sa atin? Bakit nila tayo tinitira kung talagang tayo ang insignificant opposition?”
Pastor Apollo Quiboloy’s representative, Atty.
Senator Bong Go kept it safe by focusing on the Malasakit Centers and future projects to help Filipinos. “Huwag po kayong magpasalamat sa amin. Kami po ang dapat magpasalamat sa inyo dahil binigyan niyo po kami ng pagkakataong magserbisyo sa inyo.”
Actor Philip Salvador was a revelation. Whoever offered encouragement and inspiration to him deserves credit. Standing tall with his typical macho persona, he expressed disgust at those who bully, persecute, and harass the Dutertes politically just because of the family name they carry.
Atty. Jayvee Hinlo urged the enthusiastic crowd to vote so that the Visayas would have representation in the Senate. Atty. Jimmy Bondoc spoke about the Duterte legacies and accomplishments. “Ako po’y naniniwala sa best of the best of the Duterte Principles.”
Rep. Rodante Marcoleta emphasized the importance of electing a lawyer to the Senate. “They impeached the Vice President even without any basis.”
But it was Former President Duterte’s speech that truly resonated: “Iboto natin ‘yung mga kandidato niya (PBBM) kung mas madali maghanap ng trabaho ngayon, kung mas kampante ka maglakad na walang takot ngayon…”
It was then that Club Filipino echoed with the familiar chant that took everyone back to May 2016: “Pilipinas, Duterte kami!!!”

Last night, at Club Filipino, FPRRD proved once again that lacking unlimited financial resources and political machinery will never be a hindrance to victory. It’s the love and support of the people that truly matter.
What can’t be faked at political gatherings like this is the pulse and heartbeat of the ordinary people—the masa, the hoi polloi—those who truly relate to the suka (vinegar) punchline. You could feel their joy, frustration, and deep longing for better times and better leadership. #FPRRDSupporters
