    FRIDAY

God wants us to live in a way that honors Him in everything we do—how we live, how we learn, and how we serve others. This means choosing what is right, even when it's hard. It means doing your best in school, at work, and in helping others—not to please people, but to please God.

In life, honoring God means being kind, honest, and loving. It’s about making choices that reflect His character.

In study, it means doing your schoolwork or learning with excellence and integrity, because your efforts can glorify Him.

In service, it means helping others with a cheerful heart, putting others' needs before your own, just like Jesus did.

You don’t have to be perfect. God looks at your heart. When you choose to live with His standards in mind, He will guide you, bless your efforts, and use your life to make a difference.

In a high school history project on the Philippine Revolution, our group's success stemmed from effective communication and shared responsibility. Regular meetings, both in-person and online, facilitated open discussion and allowed us to address challenges collaboratively. Crucially, we fostered an environment of mutual respect and support, where everyone felt comfortable sharing ideas and providing constructive feedback. 1. I think I need to work on putting more heart into my schoolwork. Sometimes I rush just to finish things on time, but I realize that doing my best — even in small tasks — is a way of honoring God. I want to shift my mindset and treat every assignment like it's something I'm offering to Him.

    2. *Time management – I often procrastinate, so I want to learn how to plan better.

*Speaking in front of people – I get nervous, so I want to grow more confident.

*Writing – I want to express my thoughts more clearly, especially in essays.

    3. I remember a project in Values Ed where we had to make a short film. Everyone had different roles — writing the script, editing, acting, etc. What made it work was how well we communicated and how we supported each other. No one was left behind, and we were all willing to help when someone needed it. That made a big difference.

4.I need to be more consistent with my study habits. I tend to cram when there’s a quiz or a deadline. I want to build a habit of studying a little every day so I don’t get overwhelmed. I know I’ll learn better that way — and it shows I'm taking my responsibilities seriously.

    5.Academic Effort – 4

Teamwork and Respect for Others – 3

    Personal Discipline – 2

‎What is the one thing you can improve in how you approach your school work or responsibilities for God's glory ?

‎One meaningful way to approach schoolwork or responsibilities in a way that honors God is by developing diligence and integrity. This means striving to do your best—not for grades or recognition, but as a reflection of your faith. It involves avoiding procrastination, staying organized, and putting genuine effort into your tasks. It also means choosing honesty over taking shortcuts, helping your classmates, and using your gifts to uplift others, not just yourself.

‎Three Areas for Improvement This School Year:

‎1. Time Management – I struggle with managing my time well. I dislike being rushed, but I often procrastinate, which affects the quality of my work. I also tend to move slowly, which wastes a lot of time.

‎2. Patience – As a future educator, I want to develop greater patience and learn to be more understanding and composed.

‎3. Social Skills – People often assume I’m unfriendly because of my natural facial expression. I’m introverted, and my social energy runs out quickly, so I want to improve how I connect and interact with others.

‎I remember a Girl Scouts project during my high school year where our group finished everything as planned and on time. The teamwork was effective because everyone was involved and motivated. We were all productive, took initiative, practiced self-discipline, and communicated well with each other.

One thing I can improve in how I approach my schoolwork is being more consistent and intentional with my time. Sometimes I tend to procrastinate or rush through tasks just to get them done. But if I want to honor God with my work, I need to give my best, even in the small things. By managing my time wisely, staying focused, and doing my work with excellence, I can reflect a heart that wants to glorify God, not just earn good grades.

    1. 👉One thing I can improve in how I approach schoolwork or responsibilities for God’s glory is being more intentional and wholehearted in my efforts. It's easy to fall into doing tasks just to get them done or to meet deadlines, but Colossians 3:23 reminds us, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”

That means showing up with a spirit of excellence, integrity, and gratitude—even in small tasks. By shifting my mindset from “I have to do this” to “I get to do this for God,” I can honor Him more fully in how I manage my time, focus, and attitude.

2.👉 Here are 3 areas where I might want to improve my skills this school year:

    1. Time Management – Learning to prioritize tasks, avoid procrastination, and create a balanced schedule can help me stay productive and reduce stress, allowing me to serve God with a clear and focused mind.

    2. Effective Communication – Whether it's participating in class discussions, writing clearly, or working in group projects, strong communication honors others and reflects God’s call to speak truthfully and respectfully (Ephesians 4:29).

    3. Spiritual Discernment in Decision-Making – Improving my ability to make wise choices rooted in biblical values can help me navigate peer pressure, academic challenges, and life decisions in a way that brings glory to God.

3.👉 I remember a group project where we had to create a presentation on environmental sustainability. Teamwork made a huge difference in the outcome—and here’s what made it effective:

    1. Clear Roles and Responsibilities – Each team member had a specific task based on their strengths. One person researched, another created visuals, one organized the slides, and someone practiced presenting. This avoided confusion and made sure all parts were done well.

    2. Open Communication – We shared updates regularly and weren’t afraid to give or receive feedback. This kept everyone on the same page and helped us improve the project together.

    3. Respect and Support – We listened to each other’s ideas and helped out when someone was stuck. That positive attitude made the process smoother and more enjoyable.

Ultimately, the collaboration allowed us to produce a stronger, more creative presentation than any one of us could’ve done alone—and it reminded me how teamwork reflects God’s design for community and cooperation (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).

4.👉One habit I need to improve this semester to grow in excellence is staying consistent with daily planning and organization.

Sometimes, I let assignments or responsibilities pile up because I don't review my schedule regularly. By developing the habit of setting daily goals and checking in with a planner or calendar, I can stay ahead, reduce stress, and give my best effort in everything—reflecting the biblical call to be faithful in the little things (Luke 16:10).

    ACT 1

One thing I can improve in how I approach my schoolwork for God’s glory is my consistency. Sometimes I tend to delay tasks or cram at the last minute, which leads to stress and subpar work. I realized that being consistent and diligent honors God more than just finishing something for the sake of grades. He deserves my best, even in small things like homework.

Three areas where I want to improve my skills this school year:

Time management – I want to learn how to use my time wisely and avoid procrastination.

Public speaking – I want to be more confident in sharing my thoughts in front of a group.

Creative writing – I want to develop my ability to express ideas clearly and creatively.

A group project where teamwork led to a better outcome was in our Values Education class. We were assigned a presentation about social responsibility. What made the teamwork effective was respect for each other’s opinions, clear division of tasks, and open communication. No one tried to dominate, and everyone contributed, which made our presentation one of the best in class.

One habit I need to improve this semester is starting tasks early. I want to break the habit of rushing and instead develop a mindset of preparedness and excellence. This will help me grow not just academically, but also in my personal walk with God.

    Self-Rating:

    Academic Effort – 3

    Teamwork and Respect – 4

    Personal Discipline – 2

Contribution to Community Life – 3

My lowest score is in Personal Discipline. To improve, I will start by creating a daily to-do list and committing to at least one small task at a time. Starting small helps me stay on track and build the habit of self-discipline.

Reflection on Excellence: Pursuing God-Honoring Standards

After reflecting on the module, it is clear that excellence is not about achieving perfection or outshining others; it is a form of worship. As Colossians 3:23-24 teaches, when we work "heartily, as to the Lord," our daily tasks—whether studying, coordinating school events, or helping in the community—become meaningful offerings. Pursuing excellence means refining our God-given talents and working collaboratively to reflect His character in everything we do.

    Reflection Questions & Activities

-1. What is one thing you can improve in how you approach your schoolwork or responsibilities for God’s glory?

I can improve my intentionality and focus. Instead of simply completing tasks to meet a deadline, I want to approach every assignment with the mindset that I am doing it for the Lord. This means giving my full attention to the quality of my work and avoiding the "just get it done" attitude, ensuring that my output reflects a heart of gratitude and excellence.

-2. List 3 areas where you want to improve your skills this school year.

Time Management:Organizing my schedule to balance academic requirements with my leadership responsibilities without feeling overwhelmed.

Creative Instructional Design:Enhancing my ability to create visual and educational materials that effectively engage learners.

Public Speaking/Communication:Growing in confidence when presenting ideas or leading group discussions to serve my classmates better.

-3. Recall a group project where teamwork led to a better outcome. What made the teamwork effective?

I recall a recent group activity where we had to organize a presentation. What made it effective was clear communication and the delegation of roles based on individual strengths. Everyone felt heard, and because we supported each other when someone struggled, the final result was much more creative and polished than if any of us had worked alone. It reminded me that "two are better than one" (Ecclesiastes 4:9).

-4. What is one habit or skill you need to improve this semester to grow in excellence?

The habit I need to improve is consistency in daily planning. By being more disciplined in how I track my tasks each day, I can avoid last-minute rushes and ensure that I am giving my best effort to every responsibility, rather than just what is most urgent.

    5. Self-Rating (1–5):
    * Academic Effort: 4
    * Teamwork and Respect for Others: 5
    * Personal Discipline: 3
    * Contribution to Community Life: 4

-Identify areas where you scored lowest. What’s one thing you can start doing today to improve?

My lowest score is in Personal Discipline. To improve, I can start today by setting a specific "unplugged" hour—a dedicated time where I put away all distractions (like social media) to focus purely on my most important task or personal growth. This small step will help me build the self-control needed for long-term excellence.

    Personal Response

-Lord, I commit to pursue excellence in my personal discipline and academic effort. Strengthen me to remain diligent even when I am tired, and help me to use my talents to serve my community and honor You.

Instead of doing tasks only when I feel motivated, I want to manage my time better and give my best effort in every responsibility. By doing my work with honesty, dedication, and gratitude, I can use my abilities to glorify God and become a better student and person.

    2. This school year, I want to improve my skills in public speaking, leadership, and resilience. We communicated well, respected each other’s opinions, and helped one another whenever someone was struggling with a task. Our cooperation and willingness to support each other made the project more organized, effective, and successful.

    4. One habit I need to improve this semester is rebuilding my eagerness to study again. Because of burnout and stress, there are times when I lose motivation and energy in academics. How can you enhance your approach to schoolwork or duties in a way that honors God?
One aspect I can enhance in my academic efforts and duties to better honor God is cultivating a more robust sense of careful planning and prioritization. Rather than responding to deadlines or tasks in a disorganized manner, I can strategically plan my work, establishing achievable objectives and dedicating adequate time for each. This would enable me to finish tasks to the highest standard, showcasing God's attention and accuracy in my efforts, instead of hurrying and possibly delivering inferior outcomes. 1. 👉 What is one thing you can improve in how you approach your schoolwork or responsibilities for God’s glory?
‎- To approach my schoolwork for God’s glory, I can improve my attitude toward daily tasks by viewing them as acts of worship rather than just chores. Instead of procrastinating or complaining about difficult assignments, I want to practice diligence and give my best effort, remembering that I am ultimately serving Him. By shifting my focus from just earning a grade to honoring God with my talents, I can find greater purpose and joy in my responsibilities.

    ‎2. Activity:
‎✅ List 3 areas where you want to improve your skills this school year.
‎-This school year, I want to sharpen my skills in time management, active participation, and digital organization. First, I aim to use a daily planner consistently so I can submit my assignments on time without last-minute stress. Second, I want to improve my public speaking by participating more actively in class discussions. Finally, I need to better organize my digital files and notes so that reviewing for exams becomes much more efficient.

    ‎3. Activity:
‎✅ Recall a group project where teamwork led to a better outcome. What made the teamwork effective?
‎-During a recent research presentations, our teamwork was incredibly effective because we divided tasks based on everyone's individual strengths. Instead of forcing one person to do everything, one classmate handled the editing for the final manuscript, another designed the slides, and I focused on the script and delivery. Because we communicated openly, respected each other's ideas, and met our mini-deadlines, we ended up with a good presentation and a much higher grade than we would have achieved working alone.

    ‎4. Reflection:
‎👉 What is one habit or skill you need to improve this semester to grow in excellence?
‎-The main habit I need to improve this semester to grow in excellence is consistent, distraction-free studying. By putting my phone in another room, I can build deeper concentration, understand my lessons better, and truly excel in my academics.

Part I: The Biblical Call to excellence
    Activity:
    - one thing I can improve is my time management and stop procrastinating. Instead of rushing at the last minute, doing my best from the start shows gratitude for the talents God gave me and turns my schoolwork into a form of worship.

    Part 2: Developing God-Given skills
    Activity:
    - I want to improve my public speaking, by becoming more confident during class presentations without getting too nervous.
    - I also want to improve my critical thinking, by learning how to analyze research data more deeply rather than just accepting facts at face value.
    - and last I want to improve my skills in creating clean, professional presentation slides.

Part 3: The Power of Teamwork
    Activity:
    - In a recent group presentation, our teamwork was highly effective because we used open communication and division of labor. Instead of everyone trying to do everything, we assigned tasks based on each member's strengths—some focused on research, while others handled the visual slides. Because we respected each other's ideas and checked in regularly, the final output turned out much better than if we had worked alone.

Part 4: Continuous Improvement and Renewal
    Activity:
The main habit I need to improve this semester to grow in excellence is consistency in my daily study routine. Instead of cramming right before a major exam or deadline, studying a little bit every day will help me truly master the lessons and reduce stress.

Part 5: Accountability and Quality Assurance
    Activity:
Rate yourself from 1–5 on the following:
    Academic Effort - 3
Teamwork and Respect for Others - 4
    Personal Discipline - 3
Contribution to Community Life - 4

The area where I scored the lowest is the Academic effort. To change this starting today, I can actively participate in class by asking or answering at least one question during every lecture. Forcing myself to engage instead of just sitting back passively will keep me focused, show the professor I am paying attention, and instantly raise the amount of effort I put into my daily learning.

  44. 1. Reflection Question
One thing I can improve is starting tasks earlier instead of waiting until the last minute. When I rush my work, I tend to make mistakes or do just enough to pass. If I plan ahead and give my best effort, I can produce better quality work and honor God with the time and abilities He gave me.

    2. Activity: 3 Areas to Improve Skills
Time Management – Learn to balance assignments, chores, and rest better.
Note-Taking – Practice writing clearer and more helpful notes during class discussions.
Public Speaking / Confidence – Be more comfortable sharing ideas or reporting in front of the class.

    3. Activity: Teamwork Experience
Last semester, we had a group research project about environmental issues in our community. At first, it felt overwhelming because there was so much information to gather. We decided to split the work based on what each person was good at: some searched for reliable sources and data, others organized the notes, and a few focused on writing and editing the final paper. We set small deadlines for each part and checked in with each other every few days to share updates or ask for help. Whenever someone found a hard-to-understand topic, we discussed it together until we all got it. Because we communicated openly, trusted each other’s work, and helped out when someone was falling behind, our research was thorough, well-organized, and clear. We even got compliments from our teacher for how complete and structured it was. The teamwork worked so well because we had clear roles, shared our ideas freely, and supported one another all the way.

    4. Reflection
One habit I really need to improve is staying focused and avoiding distractions, especially my phone, while studying or doing homework. Right now, I easily lose track of time or get sidetracked, which slows me down. If I learn to focus better, I will finish tasks faster, understand lessons deeper, and grow in doing my work with excellence.
