How To Live in the New Creation Realities In this Present Age

How To Live in the New Creation Realities
In this Present Age

A believer who receives the Spirit of wisdom and revelation (Ephesians 1:17–23) can indeed live in real participation in New Creation realities in the present age and can manifest, in significant measure, the life and power of the age to come. However, this participation is genuine but partial. It is the firstfruits, not the full harvest. We taste the powers of the age to come (Hebrews 6:5); we do not yet possess the unrestricted, resurrection-order manifestation that will belong to the new heavens and new earth.

Jesus, in His earthly ministry, lived as the perfect Last Adam under the conditions of the present age. He manifested the life and power of the Kingdom in fullness as the pioneer, yet even He operated within the limitations of a body not yet glorified and a creation not yet renewed. Believers share in His risen life now by the Spirit, but we still await the redemption of our bodies (Romans 8:23).

What Is Truly Available Now

Through the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, the eyes of the heart are enlightened to know:

  • The hope of His calling
  • The riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints
  • The exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe (Ephesians 1:18–19)

This same power is the power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him far above all rule and authority. Paul declares that believers have already been made alive with Christ, raised up with Him, and seated with Him in the heavenly places (Ephesians 2:5–6). In Christ we are already new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). The future has broken into the present.

Therefore, yes — a believer can walk in:

  • Authority over the powers of darkness
  • The fruit and gifts of the Spirit
  • Resurrection life that overcomes sin, fear, and death’s dominion
  • The love, wisdom, and power that characterized Jesus’ ministry

— but always as one who still lives in a mortal body and a groaning creation.

How a Believer Should Walk in These Realities

1. Receive and Keep Receiving the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation
This is not a one-time experience. Continually ask the Father, as Paul did, that the Spirit would open the eyes of your heart to see what is already true in Christ. Revelation of present union and present power is the foundation for walking in them.

2. Live from Your Position, Not Toward It
You are already seated with Christ. Walk from that place of authority and acceptance, not toward it by striving. Daily reckon on your co-crucifixion, co-resurrection, and co-seating with Him (Romans 6; Ephesians 2; Colossians 3:1–3).

3. Behold the Glorified Christ
The Spirit transforms us as we behold the glory of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18). Fix your attention on the risen and exalted Jesus. The more clearly you see Him, the more the life of the age to come is expressed through you.

4. Walk by the Spirit in Dependent Obedience
New Creation life is Spirit-empowered, not self-generated. Stay in moment-by-moment dependence. Put to death the old self by the Spirit and allow the life of Jesus to be manifested in your mortal flesh (Romans 8:13; 2 Corinthians 4:10–11).

5. Exercise Authority in Humility and Love
Jesus manifested power as the meek and lowly One who came to serve. Authority in the present age is exercised through love, servanthood, and submission to the Father. Any manifestation that does not carry the character of the Lamb is not true New Creation power.

6. Live in the Tension Without Frustration
Expect real manifestations of the Kingdom now — healing, deliverance, boldness, holiness, supernatural love — while refusing to demand the full conditions of the resurrection body and the new earth. Faith embraces both the “already” and the “not yet” without collapsing one into the other.

7. Remain Rooted in the Body of Christ
New Creation realities are expressed most fully in community. The church is the present display of the new humanity. Isolation diminishes the manifestation; shared life increases it.

Summary

Yes, a believer can live in genuine New Creation realities now and can manifest the powers of the age to come in significant ways, just as Jesus did in His earthly ministry. This is possible because we are already united to the risen Christ and indwelt by the Spirit who raised Him.

We walk in it by:

  • Continual revelation of our present position in Christ
  • Daily reckoning on that position
  • Dependent, Spirit-empowered obedience
  • Beholding the glorified Lord
  • Exercising authority in the character of the Lamb
  • Holding the already/not-yet tension with hope and patience

The same persistent purpose of God that will one day fill the new creation with glory is already at work in us. We live as citizens of that future world while still journeying through the present one — tasting its powers, displaying its life, and waiting for its full arrival.

Practical Daily Application Steps
Living in New Creation Realities in the Present Age

Here is a clear, repeatable daily pattern for walking in the present reality of the New Creation by the Spirit of wisdom and revelation.

Morning Foundation (20–40 minutes)

1. Ask for the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation
Begin by praying Paul’s prayer (Ephesians 1:17–23) in your own words:
“Father of glory, give me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus. Open the eyes of my heart to know the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your inheritance in the saints, and the exceeding greatness of Your power toward me.”

Stay here until you sense the Spirit bringing fresh clarity or quiet confidence.

2. Rehearse Your Position in Christ
Speak these truths aloud (or write them):

  • I have been crucified with Christ.
  • I have been raised with Christ.
  • I am seated with Christ in the heavenly places.
  • I am a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.
  • The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in me.

This is not positive thinking; it is faith reckoning on revealed reality.

3. Behold the Glorified Christ
Read a short passage that shows the risen or exalted Jesus (e.g., Revelation 1:12–18; Colossians 1:15–20; Hebrews 1:1–3; John 20–21).
Ask: “Holy Spirit, show me Jesus as He is now.”
Linger. Let the Spirit impress His glory, authority, and love on your heart.

4. Present Yourself and Your Day
“Lord Jesus, I present my body, mind, and emotions to You as one who is alive from the dead. Live Your New Creation life through me today. I depend on Your Spirit for every moment.”

Throughout the Day (Moment-by-Moment Walk)

5. Practice Short Re-Reckoning
When you face temptation, fear, irritation, need, or opportunity, pause briefly and return to your position:
“I am dead to this. I am alive to God. I am seated with Christ. Holy Spirit, express the life of Jesus here.”

This can take 5–10 seconds. Do it as often as needed.

6. Walk in Dependent Authority
When confronting darkness, sickness, injustice, or need, act from your seated position rather than from emotional intensity.
Speak or act in the name of Jesus with humility and love, expecting the power of the age to come to touch the present, while leaving the results to God.

7. Stay in Step with the Spirit
Keep a quiet inner attention to the Spirit’s promptings—when to speak, when to be silent, when to serve, when to pray. New Creation life is directed, not driven.

Evening Review (10 minutes)

8. Examine with Thanksgiving and Return
Ask the Spirit:

  • Where did I walk in New Creation reality today?
  • Where did I slip back into old patterns?

Give thanks for every evidence of His life. Where you failed, confess quickly, receive cleansing, and re-affirm your position in Christ. Do not end the day under condemnation.

9. Rest in the Guarantee
Close by thanking the Father that the Spirit is the earnest (down payment) of the full inheritance. The same power that worked today will one day finish the work completely.

Simple Daily Rhythm Summary

Time of Day    Focus        Key Action
Morning    Revelation & Position        Ask → Reckon → Behold → Present
Throughout the Day    Dependent Walking        Re-reckon → Act from position → Follow the Spirit
Evening    Review & Rest        Examine → Give thanks → Return → Rest

Consistency in these steps, more than intensity, trains the heart to live from the future that has already broken into the present. Over time, the eyes of the heart stay more open, the old self loses ground, and the life of the risen Christ is manifested with increasing clarity—until the day the “not yet” becomes the everlasting “now.”
