Lesson Objectives:

✔ Learn how biblical figures trusted God during trials.
✔ Develop a personal response of faith in challenging situations.
I. Introduction: Why Do We Face Difficulties?
📖 "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." – John 16:33
🔹 Life is full of challenges, disappointments, and struggles.
🔹 But Jesus promised that we can have peace even in hard times because He has overcome the world.
🔹 Trusting God means believing in His goodness even when life is tough.
💡 Discussion Question: Have you ever faced a difficult time? How did you respond?
II. Biblical Examples of Trusting God in Hard Times
✅ 1. Job – Trusting God in Suffering
📖 "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him." – Job 13:15
- Job lost everything—his wealth, family, and health—but he remained faithful to God.
- God later restored everything he lost and even blessed him double.
🔹 Lesson: Even when we don’t understand, we can trust God’s plan.
✅ 2. Daniel – Trusting God in the Lion’s Den
📖 "My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me." – Daniel 6:22
- Daniel was thrown into a den of lions for praying to God.
- Instead of fear, he trusted in God's protection.
- God sent an angel to shut the lions’ mouths!
🔹 Lesson: When we stand firm in faith, God will deliver us.
✅ 3. Paul and Silas – Singing in Prison
📖 "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them." – Acts 16:25
- Even when they were beaten and imprisoned, Paul and Silas worshiped God instead of complaining.
- God sent an earthquake that freed them from prison!
🔹 Lesson: Worship and prayer can bring freedom even in the darkest times.
III. Why Can We Trust God in Difficult Times?
📖 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." – Proverbs 3:5
🔹 1. God is Always in Control – Nothing happens without His knowledge.
🔹 2. God Works All Things for Good – Even pain has a purpose (Romans 8:28).
🔹 3. God is Our Strength – He will help us endure every trial (Isaiah 41:10).
💡 Discussion Question: Why do you think God allows difficulties in our lives?
IV. How Do We Trust God in Difficult Times?

📖 "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." – 1 Peter 5:7
✔ Talk to God and give Him your burdens.
✔ Believe that He cares for you!
✅ 2. Remember God’s Promises
📖 "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee." – Isaiah 41:10
✔ Read the Bible and remind yourself of His faithfulness.
✅ 3. Surround Yourself with Godly Friends
📖 "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ." – Galatians 6:2
✔ Talk to Christian friends, teachers, or pastors who can pray for you.
✅ 4. Keep Praising and Worshiping God
📖 "Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice." – Philippians 4:4
✔ Even when you don’t feel like it, keep worshiping God.
V. Activity: “God’s Promises Jar”
